Under the stars I find my peace
The peace I have been denied
I look up at the sky and I see freedom
Freedom for myself
You set my heart free
But you can not fix me
Only I can fix me
You've opened the cage door
But you can't fix my broken wings
I will use tape
I with use stitches
Whatever it takes
Whatever it takes
It might not work
It might sound crazy
But I'll try
I'll chirp happily
I'll sing you a song
Whatever it takes to make you happy
In the mean time I can hop
Hop hop hop
Hop my way over to you
So you can carry me on your shoulder
You will give me food
You will give me water
You will give me the needs to survive
The will to survive
In return I offer my companionship
I will always be by your side
When your down I will sing you a song
When you are up I will push you on with cheer
Chirp chirp chirp
And once I have excepted
That life's not fair
That life's not perfect
That I'm not perfect
My wings will heal
And I will fly with you again
