Keith's pov
My father warned me about them but I didn't listen. The horrible creatures who flew at night and attacked innocent people....Vampires. I was out late one night from a party when I first saw one. At first we were secret friends but then it was something more. I tried to tell myself that we would never be together forever but I still saw him.

He was the first to understand me. We had both lost our mothers before we even knew them. His mother was killed in a fire, mine disappeared after I was born. The more we talked, the more we saw of each other. Months went by and things ....heated. Instead of meeting in the woods like we had started. He'd meet in my room when my father was gone and my servants left. Those passionate nights together, the kisses and whispers. I never wanted it to end but it soon did.

A month went by without me seeing him. I couldn't wait quietly in my room, so I went to the spot. I was hoping to see him but I didn't. I waited, and waited but still nothing. I thought I'd heard someone approach. It was him but he looked different. His eyes weren't filled with lust, but hunger. I dropped my lantern as he pounced on me like a dog. I screamed his name but he never uttered a word, only growling. And then...he struck my neck. My vision started to blur..then it went black.

When I woke up I was in my bed in my house but something wasn't right. I got up and looked around the house. Cobwebs were in corners and dust collected in the furniture. Everyone was gone, I was alone. I screamed in agony. But as I did I looked in the mirror. I was pail as a ghost and i had fangs...I was now a vampire. I couldn't stand light so at night I saw the village had changed. There were no horse drawn carriages or carts. People were dressed in odd costumes...Halloween. I was terrified so I ran home. After that I never left my home, too much had happened.
