You and Barbara sit around at home. Sophie is at school, and you let out a happy sigh. You sit there playing Super Smash Bros on the 3Ds, and your wife reads from the script to the newest RWBY episodes. " Hey Barb," you say. She looks up at you. " Ally is in town for a couple of days. She was wondering if she could stay with us?"

Your wife lights up. " Are you kidding? Of course she can! I love your sister. And she's awesome with Sophie." This makes you laugh. You're glad to know the three most important girls in your life get along well.

" Okay," you tell her. " She doesn't get into town till around 5. You, me and Soph can go pick her up. And then, that will give me time to set up the guest room." Barbara nods, and goes back to reading from the script.

She looks up after a second. " Oh hey, what did you get Sophie for Christmas? I ordered some stuff on Amazon, and then I went to the store, and bought her some of the books she asked for. I got all the Harry Potter ones."

" I got her some volumes of the old Naruto episodes," you say. " And then, I got her some candies, and the toys she asked for. And then, I know my sister got her some stuff." She nods, and then the two of you help set up the guest room, and then smile at your work.

Sophie comes home from school, and the two of you give hugs and kisses to your child. She tells you happily about her day, and then sees that the guest room is set up, and looks at the two of you confused. " Your Aunt Ally is going to be staying with us for the holidays," you tell her. Her eyes get really big.

" Really? Yay! Auntie Ally is going to be with us," she says happily, before going to play outside with her friends. You and Barbara laugh at your daughter's antics, before both going back to what you were doing.

Eventually, the time goes to pick up your sister. The three of you climb into the car, and turn on the radio. In an hour, you make it to the airport, and see your sister Ally. She sees the three of you, and smiles. Sophie runs over to her. " Auntie Ally," she says, throwing herself for a hug. Ally catches her, and spins her around, before setting her down.

" How's my favorite family member," she asks, which makes Sophie laugh. The two of them talk before walking back it over to you. Barbara gives Ally a big hug, and then Ally goes over to you, and hugs you.

On the drive back, Sophie turns to Ally. " Hey, Auntie," Ally turns to her, gives a big smile and asks what it is. " Did daddy always have a crush on mommy?" This sends Ally into a fit of laughter. Eventually, she starts crying from laughing.

" Oh god, I'm sorry sweetie," she manages to say. " I didn't mean to laugh at you. But, I just remembered how long your dad had a crush on your mom for, and then all the stupid things he did because of it. But yeah, he pretty much always had a crush on your mom."

-Flashback, her pov, writing style change-

I'm two years older than your dad, so I was in sixth grade when I was in fourth. One of the things our elementary school made us do was have reading buddies. So, the sixth graders would go and read the the fourth. We started it one the first day of school that year, so I went into the classroom, and as luck would have it, both (y/n) and Barbara were already reading together in the corner. And already, he had like stars in his eyes.

The sixth graders in my class all got paired up with someone, and I had your mother as my reading buddy. I walked over to them, and then (y/n) had to go read with someone else. I sat down with Barbara, and she had some books with her. I read with her, and then when it was over, she grabbed my arm. And then your mom was like, " Is (y/n) your brother?" And I told her she was, and her eyes lit up. " Can I come over to your house sometime?"

I told her, sure, and I walked home with (y/n) that day. Your dad could not stop smiling, so I hit him, because that's what older siblings do. But, even then he was smiling. So, I asked him why, and he looked up at me. " I met this really cool girl today," he says. " She's really funny, and nice and....and she's really pretty."

-Present Day Her Pov-

Sophie laughs. " Some of the kids at my school have crushes," says Sophie. " But I don't. The boys there are all gross." This makes everyone in the car laugh, before (y/n) jokingly goes into 'threatening dad' mode, which just makes us all laugh more.

" But, what about in like middle school," asks Sophie. (y/n) jokingly tells me I don't have to continue telling this story, but I laugh. I love doing this to him, and telling Sophie these stories. And also, the story of (y/n) and Barbara is heartwarming.

-Flashback her pov ( style change)-

In middle school, your dad and mom hung out every day. They had a lot of classes together, and then after school they would come over to our house, or sometimes he went to their house. They would play some video games together, play outside and then do their homework. I would just watch them, and then tease my brother for having a crush. It was only one day when I realized how bad the crush was.  I was a sophomore, and he was in eighth grade. He walked home one day, and Barbara wasn't with him. His eyes were red, and so was his nose.

Your dad just sat down, and started playing a video game by himself. I went over to ask where Barbara was, and he mentioned there was a dance coming up or something, and Barbara was going with some other guy. And then your dad did something I hadn't seen him do in a long time. Cry. So, of course, I gave him a hug. But that was when I maybe thought Barbara was his first love.

-Present Day-

" I broke up with him after one date though," says Barbara. " I don't even know why I went to the dance with him."

" What about in high school," asks Sophie.

-Flashback-

Unfortunately, when I was in my junior year, your dad was starting his freshman year, so we weren't able to spend as much time together as I would have liked. The only real romantic story I have of them was in my freshman year of college, and your dad's junior year. I was back to visit for prom, to go with one of the seniors at the school for a date.

To the day of prom, your dad wasn't going to go. He just said it was stupid, though I highly suspect it was because Barbara was dating someone else at the time. I shouldn't joke about that too much though. It did really affect your dad. But, at the last minute, I got a text from a friend of a friend, saying that Barbara's date flaked on her.

Your dad was sitting on the couch, watching Bleach or something. I told him the news, and he tried to act like he didn't care. The second he thought I was out of sight, and he ran upstairs, and got into the only suit he had. I heard him on the phone, trying to convince whoever organized the prom to let him get a ticket last minute. " I will pay you quadruple what a ticket is worth," he had said, and I saw him pay 160 dollars to get in.

But, your dad actually picked up Barbara, and went as her dad. And that was when I knew for sure. My brother loved that girl with all of his heart.

-Present Day-

Telling the story warmed my heart, and the hearts of everyone in the car. Barbara looks at my brother lovingly, which makes me give a smile. After years, my brother finally got the girl of his dreams.

( yeah. this took awhile to update. next chapter is probably a Christmas special. also, i know it said in an earlier chapter that Ally is younger, but i want her to be the cool older sister. hope that doesn't bother you)
