Christmas Special Part 2

" Merry Christmas," you tell Barbara, before getting up to face the day. From the kitchen, you can smell whatever it is Ally is cooking, and hear the sounds of joy and delight Sophie makes about it being Christmas morning, and seeing the presents under the tree, both from the three of you, and Santa.

You put on some jeans, and then a holiday sweater. Barbara does the same, before giving you a kiss. The two of you walk into the kitchen, and Sophie runs over to the two of you, and leaps. Your wife catches her, and spins her around. " Merry Christmas Soph," she says, before setting her down. Barbara then turns to Ally. " Merry Christmas Ally." Ally smiles, before wishing her a Merry Christmas.

" Breakfast will be ready in about an hour," says Ally. " I already made coffee for the two of you, and gave Sophie some orange juice. Barb, since you take a healthy amount of sugar in your coffee, yours is already ready. And (y/n), because you take way too much sugar, you can add it yourself."

You roll your eyes, and smile at your sisters antics. You put some sugar in your coffee, and turn around to see Barbara on the phone with her family, to wish them a Happy Holidays. Because of her Jewish heritage, the two of you have a deal. One year, you celebrate Christmas, and the next Hanukkah. Sophie doesn't mind the set up, and it saved the two of you a lot of potential arguments about which holiday to celebrate. When Barbara puts down the phone, she turns to Sophie.

" Now remember," she says. " Wait to open the presents until after mommy and daddy have some coffee." Sophie just laughs. For as long as she can remember, this has been the household rule for any event with presents involved. When you and Barbara are just waking up, there's only so much loud noise you can handle.

Sophie nods, and then sits back down to read a book. Finishing your coffee, you turn to your sister. " Hey Ally, do you need any help with breakfast?" She just laughs at you, and throws some insults about how you can barely cook yourself. This just makes you laugh, as that's honestly a fairly good answer.

Barbara looks outside, and gives a sigh. One of the downsides to working in Texas is that it hardly ever snows. You turn to her, and place an arm around her waist. " I know you're thinking about the Winters in Canada right?" She nods, and you think about it. " Tell you what. How about next winter, we go on up to the Great White North?"

This makes her smile, and she kisses you on the cheek. Ally peeks her head out from the kitchen, and says that breakfast is ready. Sophie helps her set the table, while Barbara turns off the stove. The four of you sit on the table, and eat. When you finish breakfast, Sophie turns to you and Barbara. " Can I open my presents now," she asks in a cute voice. Giving her best puppy eyes, you and your wife relent.

Your daughter runs with joy, and starts looking for the best one to open. Barbara goes to get the camera, and Ally places a hand on your shoulder. " You know, it still blows my mind," she says, wistfully. " It seems like just yesterday you were asking me for relationship advice. And yet here you are." You don't say anything, just smile. " I'm proud of you (y/n)."

Your wife comes back with a camera. Sophie opens her gifts, and your wife takes pictures along the way. When Sophie opens a gift, she always comes back to hug whoever bought it for her. When she opens all of hers, she sits contently, and plays one of her new 3Ds games. Ally tosses you something.

Opening it, your eyes widen. It's a phone case with the logo of your YouTube Channel, Knock-Out fighter. Thanking her, you put it on your phone, and then hand her the set of picks for her guitar you got her. She smiles, and then gives Barbara a coffee mug with the Canadian Flag on it.

The three of you exchange gifts, and you give Barbara a ring. ( pick your two favorite Akatsuki members, and if you don't know what that is, then just a really nice ring.) " That's the one ( Akatsuki member) wore in the anime, and I have ( Akatsuki member's partner.) I know it isn't much, but they always looked out for each other. They may have fought from time to time, but always looked out for each other. I thought, it was kinda like you and me, ya know?"

You don't know what you expect, but she gives you a really big kiss. When she pulls away, she smiles. " I also got a present for you," she says. " I'll give it to you later," and she tosses you a suggestive wink.

Ally rolls her eyes, and gives a smile. She turns to Sophie. " Hey, how about I take you for a drive? That way your mom can give your dad a little present." Sophie doesn't understand, but gets up anyways, to go to the car. Ally turns to you. " Merry Christmas." When they leave, you and Barbara race to the bedroom.
