"A human!" the faerie shouted. "Oh, please" Darryl reacted quickly from that comment. "Max, what is this? We welcome you into our home and here you bring a human!?" the gryphon pounded his fist on his throne's arm rest. "Oh, crap" Elwin flinched. The gryphon got down from his throne and walked towards Darryl. He looked much taller than Darryl but he began to stand up much higher than him. "Menial..." he turned back to his throne. "Menial? Did you just hear what he just said?!" Darryl complained. "What's menial?" Elwin whispered in my ear. "It just means he's somewhere at unskilled or a beginner" I informed him. Then Elwin just turned in front then we watched Darryl complain about that word over and over until the elder tree had to restrain him in roots and branches. The roots grew a few leaves and flowers. "I am not a bonsai" he said. The elder tree moved Darryl in front of the gryphon. "Listen, here human, I don't know what's your deal here and I don't know why Maximillion brought you here but I suggest you keep your mouth shut" the gryphon grinned.
The elder tree let go Darryl of his rope roots and it threw him to the golden floor. "Now, Max, please explain why you deliver a human to this sanctuary" the siren asked. I knelt down for a few seconds then I stood up, "My liege....or lieges, I have brought to you my friend, Darryl, in order for me to fit the missing piece in my gauntlet". "And so what is this missing piece in accessory" the elf leaned back to the throne. I showed them the gauntlet and there was a tree glyph. "He speaks the truth" the elder tree spoke. "Yes, but I would also like to know what is the connection with your friend here" the gryphon pointed to Darryl."Well, I think he could also transform into a creature" I stopped. "Impossible!" the gryphon shouted. "This is not impossible" the siren reasoned. "True, this would work, but only if the host is able to withstand a creature's immense energy" the elf added. "Then we would have to make a ritual for this. Max, is this what you want for your friend" the gryphon asked me. I just stood there looking at them. I ran towards Darryl who was just watching us from a distance. "Yeah, what do you want?" he rolled his eyes. "Stop being so dramatic, they're toughening you up. Anyways, do you wanna host a creature?" I asked him. "Wh-what? No I don't! What are you crazy?!" he shouted.
"Just keep it down. Dude, if you get hosted, then maybe you'd get a lot of info from all of these creatures and in fact you might even get to know them better" I convinced him fast enough for him to agree. "Sure, I'm in" he said. "Yes!" I squawked then I kept my mouth shut. I let Darryl follow me towards the council and he, I and they agreed to what we were doing. The gryphon and the elder tree stood up and told us to stay where we were and we were transported to another room than before. "This is a much bigger room than where you led me to" I said. "This is a ritual room" the elder tree's structure creaked as he walked towards a big circle on the floor then walked to the edge of the circle. There were hooded creatures near the circle and they were murmuring some words mostly I didn't understand.
