We continued our way to the long hallway where many of different paintings were. They all moved one by one as we passed them. "There are a lot of these" I said stopping a bit to see a large octopus devouring and smashing a big wooden ship into bits while a storm was waging. "It's the Kraken" he stopped then proceeded to walk again. Many paintings seemed to be appealing but some looked really violent in a way and some surprised me a bit. We came to stop when I realised he stopped in front of lare entangling roots that blocked our path. He motioned his hands sideways and the roots moved away with a sound like it was being chopped down. Then there was bookshelf on the other side. One book caught my eye and it had a few scratches and ash blotches. I pointed it out to him and he pulled off the book from the shelf. "This....is the book that could wipe our existence from the face of this multiverse" he warned me. Well...that was anticlimactic, hearing those words from him. "A book that is never to be touched by humankind and neither us" he put back the book giving me a glimpse to what I saw. It had lime color on the cover and the title of the book was: Decimation. "Who was the author?" I asked him. He looked back towards the infinite hallway of hanging portraits from the walls then sighed.
"It happened in the 1470s. A man named Roberton Hyde had studied our creatures' races and abilities. He joined on expiditions and countless trips to the unknown parts of the Earth, studying many of our brethren. However, his knowledge was written on a book with what the title, Decimation" he breathed heavily.
"And with, that the humans started to hunt us down, one by one, killing many of our people. Which led us to flee here, in the so called planet, X2B. Years have past and we've learned that you're kind have landed on to the planets surface that were told by our woodland scouts. I thought it was over but, it wasn't. Your kind stayed peaceful, making us invisible to the eyes of those who find us" he nodded then walked back to the hallway. "But what happened? Why weren't you all really dead?" I asked again. He stopped,"Ahh, you wish to know more. Before we have fled, a brave dragon burnt the building where he was about to publish the book, along the town with it. Our army found the remnants gone, however, our instincts say Roberton is still out there, squirming the lands. We even think he is here". "H-here?" I wondered. I thought if he slipped through the space ships to fulfill his dreams or something.
