Well...shit. Nothing like a little anxiety attack as I turned into the main entrance to the University. A large sign read Welcome to UConn, Home of the Huskies. I started down the main road into the campus, banners hung everywhere with the logo and name everywhere. Definitely a proud school... I thought to myself as I rounded the corner. I looked down at the paper packet with all of my necessary information on it. Conveniently, it had a list of things that I should do upon arrival on campus. I let out a quick sigh of relief as I flipped through to find a map of where I should go. Hm... I have to check in.
After checking in with the dean and getting my schedule I looked back down at the map. I was able to get a higher end dorm, all by myself. After about five minutes of driving around, I hit a large building. I found my parking spot, labelled 4,036, and parked my black VW Golf. I popped the trunk and got out. Looking at all of my stuff, my eyes widened. I never really thought about getting all of my stuff to my dorm, which was perfect because it was up twelve flights of stairs. Shit. I pulled out my first duffel bag and my saxophone case. By the way, I play the tenor sax. I also pulled out a laptop bag. There was no way I would be able to do this in one trip. I sighed.
"Need help?" A smooth, low voice asked from behind me. I turned my head to see a creamy-white wolf standing there, wearing a navy blue UConn football shirt. Damn he was hot. I shook the thought out of my mind, no way someone like that would be interested in guys.
"No thanks, I think I'm fine." I nervously answered as I struggled to pull another bag onto my shoulder. He just grinned and shook his head.
"Let me help you with that." He said as he took the large red duffel bag in my right hand. His paw briefly brushed my own, sending chills throughout my body, and sending my tail into wagging overdrive. He noticed despite my best efforts to hide it. He simply laughed.
After twelve flights of seemingly long-ass stairs, we finally reached my floor. I was almost panting, but the wolf in front of me seemed to be just fine.
"What's your room number?" He asked. I pulled the folded packet out of my back pocket with my spare paw, looking at the small black number printed next to the rest of my information.
"4,036." I said, turning down the hallway marked '4,000-4,250.' He followed me as I pulled in front of my door, pulling out my key card. I swiped it through the little notch in the handle and it beeped and unlocked. I pushed the heavy metal door open, revealing a long apartment. "Just set it down by the door-and thank you so much. I would have died."
"Don't mention it." He said, gently dropping the bags he was carrying against the wall inside the doorway. "You joining the band?" He asked, eyeing my saxophone.
"Yeah, got a scholarship for it." I said, placing it carefully next to the rest of my stuff.
"Hm, cool. Well I'm on the football team so we might see each other a lot." I grinned. "Well here's my phone number, call me if you need any more help." He wrote it on my packet, marking it with the name Alex. He nodded as he walked back to the staircase, pulling out his phone. I grabbed my rapidly wagging tail and closed the door behind me. I sighed. God damn he was cute. I shook my head again at myself as I began to unpack my stuff.
Later that night, after the sun had set and the moon had risen, with all ofy stuff unpacked, I jumped into the fluffy bed in my bedroom. I pulled out my phone to see that I had two new texts. I opened the first one, which was from Jason.
Jason: Hey man, go 2 the food court tmrw. U need to meet the squad.
Me: Okay.
I clicked on the second one, from an unknown number.
