It was three when I got the call. At first I was confused, but I soon figured out that something had gone terribly wrong.

-=Phone Call=-

E: Hello?

S: E-Evan, I need you to come pick me up.

E: Now? It's so late...

S: Evan, p-please.

E: Fine. One minute. Wait, where are you?

S: IHop.

E: The fuck you still doing there? Are you okay?

S: Just hurry.

E: I'll be there soon.

I had managed to get the gag out of my muzzle and call the first person I thought of that I could trust. Evan. He said that he would be here shortly, so I waited on the bench beside the road, sitting there and waiting. I didn't really feel that much of anything, in fact the only emotion I could grab ahold of was anger. I'm actually a very stoic fur, and unlike how most others would feel when put into my situation, I wasn't traumatized or anything.

A pair of headlights appeared from the dark road, growing bigger like a cat's eyes. The car pulled up, and it looked like Evan's car, but because one could never be too sure, I peered through the window quickly. Upon seeing that the driver was, in fact, Evan, I opened the passenger door and slipped inside. Just to be safe, I imediately locked the car doors.

"Are you okay?" Evan asked me. I turned to see a very concerned, and tired, look in his eyes.

"I'll talk to you about it tomorrow, but for now can we just go home?" I replied. Nodding, he put the car into gear and pulled back into the street.

The ride home was pretty quiet, the radio playing some rather unimaginative song very solftly in tbe background, and Evan was pinching himself every couple of minutes to keep himself awake. I felt bad for waking him up and dragging him out this early in the morning, but I really needed a safe way to get home. When we arrived at my dorm, I hopped out. I gave him a sincere apology and thanks and told him that I would call him tomorrow. As I walked inside I looked at myself through the hall mirror. All I saw was a fur who looked like shit. Jesus I need to clean myself up...

I keyed open my dorm room's door and walked inside, shutting it with a solf click as to not disturb anyone who may be still sleeping. I instantly went to my bathroom, not even bothering to snag a change of clothes from my room. I closed the door and started the shower, setting the water to a burning temperature and hopped inside. I must have been in there for over an hour by the time I had finally gotten out. At this point the sun was peaking out over the horizon, which meant that I had absolutelty no chance of getting to sleep. But that was fine, I didn't have work today anyway.

I was still very confused by Summer, even when I had woken back up. One day back and she's already dragging me around at God knows what hour. I looked over to my nightstand, looking at the digital alarm clock that sat there. 08:38. Next on the waking-up checklist was my phone. I opened it and swiped through some app notifications before I found that I had gotten a text from Summer. I opened it and scanned the message. A large paragraph about how sorry she was for making me go get her so late as well as an invitation to go get coffee at ten so that she could explain.

A little while later and I was sitting at a table across from Summer with a coffee. God I love coffee.
