Well now wewere running out of puppy mix downstairs and out of time
elsewhere. Today we had finals for most of our classes, which meant extremely painful and long tests over a hundred questions long that completely dictated thousands of dollars and our entire futures. No big deal, right?

I quickly rushed out of the bedroom and into the kitchen, passing by the bathroom which Evan occupied. In the kitchen I quickly scrambled and cooked up two plates of eggs and made some toast to go with them. [My spacebar is being a dick rn so I'm sorry if I fuck up with a few words] Evan came out of the bathroom and we wolfed down our plates of breakfast, then ran off to get to the lecture hall where the first of our many tests would be taking place.

The room was eerily quiet, despite it being absolutely full. Evan and I just barely managed to snag the last two seats that were next to each other in the fourth-to-last row before the clock chimed that we were late. Just made it, phew. The tests were already on all of the little desks coming off of the chairs, flipped over with two fresh pencils on top of it. Guess they really want this test to be fair. The first test of the day was from the only class that Evan and I shared, zoology, which was always one of the easiest courses. But the test wasn't. I suppose I should have maybe studied for this test a little bit more instead of taking the ease for granted, but after three grueling hours of pencil on paper later, I felt pretty confident that I had at least gotten a B. Evan had finished way before me, and wasn't allowed to wait around after he had finished so he whispered to me as he stood up that he would be waiting at the food court and that I had gotten the answer for question 56 wrong, which I in fact did.

But finally I had finished, took my test up to the box beside the professor where we turned them in, and turned to walk out the door, shutting it very quietly behind me. [It was at this point that Colin freaked the fuck out on his wifi for deleting the same part he had written 3 other times.]

Four o'clock. That was the magic time. It had been three days since the beginning of finals, and since they had all finished yesterday, they quickly did the gradings online so that we could get them today...at four o'clock. The results would be e-mailed to us then. I wasn't quite too worried about them, I felt as if I had done well. That feeling was the stark opposite of what Alex showed to be feeling. He was biting his nails non-stop and wasn't able to focus kn pretty much anything.

Around one I made my way over to the couch where Alex was sitting, watching some random cheesey comedy. I sat down next to him and cuddled up to his side, softly breathing in his scent. We waited for the next three hours until it was just about five of, and at this point Alex was physically shaking in anxiousness. There was nothing that I could do besides wait. Promptly at four both of our phones buzzed at the same exact time. I picked mine up off of the table and clicked the power button. Right there where my notifications are displayed was the infamous red and white logo of Gmail. Alex's phone had the same exact notification as well.

I couldn't wait any longer, I tapped the notification quickly and bounced up and down as I waited for the message to load. Each of the five classes I was taking had a separate link where my report was, so I started with my main course, biology.

Yada yada yada, lot's of random text I don't need to see...and....success! 94%! I rushed through to look at the rest of my classes, each of which I had passed! Well, barely physics, 82% with 79% > being a failing grade.

"How'd you do Alex?" I asked, elated that I beat round one of college. But he was just standing there, not checking them. "Oh give me this." I huffed, quickly throwing my paw into his pocket and snatching his phone before he had any chance to react.

"Hey!" He yelled.

"Nope, we're checking them." I said, turning away from him so that he couldn't reclaim his phone. I opened it with my paw print and opened his email, where, sure as fuck, there it was. I went through all of his classes without dropping the slightest hint to what he got to keep the suspense up. "Aaaaaand...you passed!" I chirped happily.

"Oh thank Jesus." He exhaled, falling to the floor.

"Well, since we didn't just ruin our lives with a failed GPA and financial ruin, I was thinking ice-cream?" I suggested. Tonight seemed like the perfect night for it.

"Deal." Alex replied.

We were sitting at a picnic table at the edge of the woods, ice-cream cones in paw. The sun was setting just to my left, it's soft and comfortable orange glow illuminating the air around us. There was no more perfect moment than this. The crickets hiding in the grass, chirping the day away and welcoming the night. The gentle light breeze moving tufts of fur and grazing my skin. It was perfe-

"HOW THE FUCK DID YOU GET ICE-CREAM ON YOUR FOREHEAD?!" I yelled out, hysterically laughing and breaking the serene silence.

"Holy shit that scared me!" He whined, brushing off vanilla ice-cream from his forehead.

"Well look on the bright side, I love you." I said kind of cheesily, reaching my paw forward and booping his nose.

"I love you too."
