Chapter 15

**WOW! Chapter 15 already! I feel like it was only yesterday I started writing the first chapter! Thank you for the support, you inspirational readers! –Jade**

Friday, the most excitable day of the week. I rushed out of school, power-walking home. I had the most awesome dress. I had bought it with Rebekah when went shopping before Elena ruined our trip.

I laid it out on the bed before heading downstairs to grabs some food. Rebekah was coming over to get ready with me, as she decided that she wanted to make a fashionably late grand entrance, and apparently she couldn't do that if she didn't come here first. I didn't mind. It was nice to get ready with someone. She didn't have a date, and I wanted Elijah (and Kol) to see the full effect, rather than the stumbling-down-my-bumpy-path-in-the-dark effect.

"Beeettthhh!"

"Come on in Rebekah!"

She entered in a flurry of bags.

"Do you really need that much stuff?"

She was carrying a massive make up bag, her dress with a cover over it and another bag that contains something else.

"Yes and hurry up eating and we'll start getting ready."

I rolled my eyes and continued eating my Nutella sandwich. Nutella over beauty.

"Head on up and get set up. I'll just be a second."

She did, and just had to make comments on the way up.

"Your house is simply gorgeous, so small and quaint."

Small... compared to theirs, yes. But really, its not that small, with two stories and three bedroom, It wouldn't classify as small to many people. I personally enjoyed the space, even though I kind of wasted it I guess, but then again, Inheritance money does have its advantages.

I headed up after Rebekah, and found her already spreading her makeup across my vanity.

"So Beth, what kind of look do you want? Smokey, fresh-"

I held up my hand to stop her.

"Whatever you think will look best, Bekah. I'm pretty hopeless with makeup."

She beamed at me, obviously pleased with the lack of limitations.

"Well then. Let us get changed."

We both got into our dresses. Rebekah looked stunning, as usual, and I didn't think I polished up too badly.

"Oh my gosh Beth! You look amazing! Elijah will be drooling!"

I narrowed my eyes at her.

"Ok, I'll lay off. You'll do well with either of my brothers, but seriously, Elijah is totally you. Nerdy, quiet, but at the same time you can both be very fun. Well, in the right situation."

I sighed.

"I don't think that's going to happen."

Rebekah shrugged, pulling me over to the vanity and seating me in a chair.

"Look at me."

I did. Rebekah seemed to be scrutinizing my face. I raised my eyebrows.

"Stop it! You ruined my vision!"

"Sorry."

I lowered them, all the while trying not to smile.

"Ok! I know what I'll do!"

We were ready. Rebekah had completed both my makeup and her own, transforming both of our faces. I really don't know how she does it. We walked carefully outside to Rebekah's sport car. I wish I had a car like hers. We drove in silence, well, beside Paramore playing in the background. When we arrived, the house was lit up like a Christmas tree. It looked rather awesome. We were around 30 minutes late, just like Rebekah had wanted. We walked up the path and opened the door. What greeted us was the sight of people of all shapes and sizes milling around, chatting and generally having a good time. It seemed really quiet though, wait.

Everyone had stopped talking and was staring at us. Oh gosh. I was sure my cheeks were flaming red. I glanced in the hallway mirror, nope. Thank you Rebekah's makeup.

"Bethany!"

I looked to see Elijah coming over.

"How lovely to see you. And may I say, you look stunning."

"Thank you Elijah."

He offered me his arm and I took, letting him lead me away, causing conversation to erupt in the entrance way again. Weird.

We talked and laughed for the rest of the night, but I never saw Kol. Strange, I would've thought I would see him. Never mind. Elijah had left and was standing on the stairs, beginning to make a toast. Little did I notice the new addition to the Mikaelson family, Esther.
