Slowly waking up, Marina let her eyes adjust to the sun filtering through the curtain before panicking. "Crap I fell asleep. Well, I'm not dead so I guess it was all right."
"You're awake," called a voice from the doorway. Marina slowly flipped around, smiling sheepishly at the man standing in front of her. "I ended up fainting, didn't I?"
He nodded, before setting a brand new outfit on his bed. "I'm not sure if you live around here, but you should probably take a shower before you go."
"What? Do I stink?" Marina asked self-consciously, lowkey glaring at Jungkook while reaching down to sniff herself. There wasn't any strange odor emitting from her armpits and she just smelled like herself. This was when she realized she'd been played. "You little..."
"Watch your mouth, dongsaeng," Jungkook laughed at her, shaking his head before walking out of the room.
Marina glowered at his back before sighing and walking to the bathroom.
(20 minutes later)
Marina let out a content sigh as she stepped out of the shower before quickly getting dressed. She quickly looked herself over once in the mirror, admiring the new clothes that were bought for her. "Cute."
She walked downstairs, spotting Jungkook sitting on the couch playing a video game, seemingly still be amused from this morning.
Marina glared at him, before walking into his kitchen. "Might as well steal some of his food as payback."
She quietly opened his fridge but was met with complete emptiness. Her eyes widened as she moved on to his cabinets and found an even bigger surprise.
A light orange glow emitted from the closet as the sunlight hit its contents.
There, in all its glory, sat rows, upon rows, upon rows of instant ramen cups.
"FREAKING KOOK!" Marina shouted. Despite how gloriously delicious the ramen had looked, she knew just how unhealthy living off of it was.
Startled out of his mind, Jungkook quickly ran into the kitchen, standing straight in front of the triggered woman. "Yes?"
Marina was practically quaking with anger, while a curtain of her hair covered her eyes making her look demented. Her parents passed away four years ago, but within the fifteen years they raised her, they always pressed how important it was to have a healthy lifestyle.
"Explain this to me," she whispered, pointing at his exposed cabinets.
Jungkook nervously rubbed his hand on his neck, eyes fearfully avoiding hers. "My food?"
Jin had reacted the same exact way Marina was now, so he knew the most plausible outcome.
"What?!" Marina lost it. Running to the front door, she slipped on her shoes and left.
"Did she really just leave like that?" asked Jungkook to himself, awestruck. He stood there for five whole minutes, staring at his open door. Finally pulling out of his stupor, he was about the close the door before jumping back in surprise as Marina stormed back in with a basket of food items.
"How did she get back so quickly?" he asked himself, before recalling what she said last night. "She must live in the same building, what a coincidence..."
It still struck him as something that didn't seem quite right, but never got the chance to ponder it further.
"Do you like Chinese food?" asked Marina, from the kitchen. She had started collecting the necessary utensils from his drawers, finding it ironic since all it took to make instant ramen was hot water.
Jungkook entered the kitchen, nodding.
"Wait, why do you need so many cooking utensils if that's all you eat?" asked Marina, gesturing to his cabinets.
"A friend gave them for me, demanding I change my diet," he replied, not meeting her eyes, His mind wandered back to how Jin came back the next day after first visiting him and organized all the newly bought utensils into his kitchen without Jungkook's consent.
"And you still haven't changed it!" yelled Marina, continuing her current task, which was chopping up vegetables.
Marina finished chopping up the lettuce, then filled the pan with some water. Next, she tossed in the lettuce before into the pan prepared ground beef.
While she was cooking, Jungkook finally left the kitchen and continued to play on his PS4.
Marina gently set a bowl of fried rice in front of him on the table, before elegantly eating her own.
After half an hour, Marina finished her bowl but Jungkook hadn't even touched his.
She glared at the stubborn young man, attempting to wrestle his controller away from him. He effortlessly yanked it away from her grasp due to the sheer size of his biceps, but the momentum threw Marina forward.
She narrowly managed to catch herself with one hand on his chest and the other next to his head on the couch.
They both stared at each other for an awkward minute, neither shifting.
After a couple of minutes of intense eye contact, Marina tried to push herself off of him but one of her hands slipped on the silky texture of his white shirt; Thus leading her to falling closer and closer and closer until her lips were an inch from his, but gravity wasn't done messing with them yet...
