A/N: The introduction chapter hit over 100 views and I know that might not seem like a lot to other people, but I'm so excited about it, lol XD! Take this earlier update as a little gift <3
I gasped, having pulled away when the desperate need for air became too strong.
My face remained a blushing mess, as I slowly lifted my eyes up to meet Jungkook's soft gaze once again.
He had this goofy grin on his face as he looked down on me, seemingly proud of his actions.
I laughed softly, a smile appearing on my own face as I continued to mess with his fluffy hair. It was somewhat mesmerizing how his soft locks effortlessly flowed between my fingers, no knots to stop the languid movements.
"I'm sorry," apologized Jungkook, drawing my attention to his eyes. His smile was still there though indicating that he didn't feel apologetic at all.
"It's alright," I responded with a slight laugh.
Eventually, Jungkook let go of me, walking off to go get ready for the day,
Sighing lightly, I tread downstairs, walking towards the kitchen. Almost there to the doorway, a faint buzz emitted from my earing startling me. "Agent Sylvi, come in."
"Yes, sir?" I asked, slinking into the walk-in food closet. Although unusual, it provided a perfect excuse if Jungkook stumbled upon me seeing as I could have just been grabbing a snack.
"There's been a new update. One of our bugged cameras caught sight of a man who was suspected in helping with the explosion several years back and we thought you'd like the mission."
My breath hitched at the word explosion, knowing exactly which explosion it was. The very one that ripped my best friend from me. The very one that caused my whole entire world to collapse in front of my eyes.
A few more words were exchanged before my manager hung up and I walked out of the closet.
The time spent on this mission will have to be cut short.
An agonized groan came from somewhere upstairs, startling me out of my thoughts.
A couple of seconds later, a worn out body wandered into sight before slumping on the couch in the living room.
"It seems like all that alcohol finally caught up to you," I mused, which resulted in a half-hearted glare from Jungkook. He was lying flat on his stomach, with his head resting on his hands as his eyes shut in a grimace.
I sighed, walking over to his exhausted figure before resting on the arm of the couch next to him to gently mess with his hair.
Jungkook let out a small content noise, smiling slightly with his eyes still closed.
Only a few minutes later, soft snores erupted from Jungkook as his body went limp. I got up from my spot, before walking back into the kitchen.
Pulling out the necessary ingredients, the process of making hangover soup began. Humming slightly to myself I stopped, noticing the small vial hanging slightly out of the pocket of my jacket.
"I have no choice. I'm sorry."
The contents of the vial slipped seamlessly into the soup.
