A/N: Y'all I settled on a number of chapters for the book. It's a number less then 100 and it's divisible by 2, 5, and 6, but not by 9 or 12. The math is pretty easy so there you go ^-^
Jungkook sighed, eyeing the empty chair next to him. He was currently seated at the island table in his kitchen, sipping a cup of coffee.
"It's weird how quickly habits develop," he thought, realizing how much coffee was left in the pot, he absentmindedly made enough for at least two people.

Both agents have kind of just been cooped up in their penthouses since neither can progress on either of their missions.
Jungkook had been given constant progress reports, but not enough to find Marina's identity.
"It's confirmed, she's indeed a member of the infamous Twice unit." -Namjoon
"We know for sure that she's in Seoul now." -Jin
"Um, dark hair and eyes?" -Yoongi
"So... how's your wifey?"
"Yah! Park Jimin! That was my line!" -Taehyung
"Slow your horses Taemin." -Hoseok
Meanwhile, Marina became a wild mess of raging emotions, unsure of what to make of the situation. Never in her life had anyone ever made her feel as alive as she did when Jungkook so much as looked at her, and she knew what she was feeling was completely wrong.
He was nothing more than the subject of her mission, or rather, that was the lie she kept feeding her mind. Long story short, she was having a mini mental breakdown.
The other Twice members kept trying to contact her, having given up on her hidden earpiece and straight up spamming her phone, but to no avail. It was like Marina was in complete solitude, accompanied by only her suffocating thoughts.
(Marina's Pov)
"What the actual heck is this?" I asked myself, tear after tear slipping out of my eyes.
I originally thought that the ache I felt in my heart was only due to the memory of my late parents, but now that reason just didn't feel right anymore. "Since when was I so weak?"
My phone had been sitting on the counter buzzing non-stop for the past two hours, but I ignored it.
Honestly, I haven't even bothered to eavesdrop on Jungkook to try to gather some sort of Intel or decipher how much closer he was to exposing my act. At this point, I legitimately feel done with everything.
Why couldn't I just lead a normal life? Curse JYP for finding me when I was young, curse my parents for leaving me behind. When couldn't the car crash take me too? Why was I the only survivor? You know what, curse the entire world.
"Life is so freaking messed up! Men are so freaking messed up! Everything is so freaking messed up! Hah, falling for the target, that's a new one."
Gibberish kept spewing out of my mouth, as a nearly empty bottle of soju dangled dangerously in my grasp.
Don't get me wrong, I wasn't drinking to get drunk. More like I was trying to do the opposite? A wise man once said that a person's truest thought surface when their drunk. Who knows, my logic's is really incoherent right now due to the alcohol coursing through my system.
Regardless, I did get the wake-up call I was searching for... Kind of.
