A series of gasps were heard in the office. Taehyung's skin paled a few shades a lighter and jimin's eyes widened in shock.
This caught the attention of their peers, immediately sensing that something was wrong. The rest members glanced around at each other to see if the other seemed to know something else.
After a couple of seconds of tense silence, the oldest member took it upon himself to ask for an explanation.
"What is it?" asked Jin, worry evident in the crease of his brows. He gently placed his hand on Jimin's shoulder considering the fact that he was in a slight daze, the younger boy immediately snapped his head up eyes locking with Jin's.
"Jungkook. He's in danger," whispered Jimin, he stepped away from Jin, letting the other male's hand to slip back to his side. Smacking his forehead he started to pace back in forth, mentally chastising himself for being so oblivious. "I should have known."
Now all the men in the room looked worried. Taehyung slowly started to explain what happened the day that they went to visit Jungkook and how he had company, conveniently leaving out the soju and movie part.
Everyone listened intently to the story, some expressing disappointment, others pure shock. Namjoon and Suga shook their heads, Jin sighed, and Hoseok seemed to be paralyzed.
"What?" gasped Hoseok, eyes slowly rising up to meet Taehyung's. Deep down inside he wished that this was all a joke, that their maknae was perfectly safe, but he knew that this was the truth.
Taehyung looked away, unable to meet his hyung's eyes anymore. The mood in the room was downcast, and despite the AC not being on it also felt extremely cold.
"That girl, it's her isn't it?" asked Namjoon, referring to Marina. Yoongi's eyes widened with realization and so did the eyes of the other people in the room besides the 95 liners as the realization hit them like a speeding truck. The girl that Jungkook met a couple of months ago. The one he befriended.
"Someone needs to tell him," said Jimin, running a nervous hand through his hair. "We need to call him."
He started walking around his desk to pick up his phone but his leader quickly intercepted him, pulling him into a comforting embrace.
"His apartment's no doubt bugged already if they were as close as you guys claimed. She can't know that we know or else Jungkook will really be done for," Namjoon calmly stated, his voice contrasting the evident concern in his eyes.
Jimin shook his head in denial, trying to find a way to get to his friend. "Then, I can go to him myself."
Namjoon sighed, shooting down the younger male's idea once again. "She'll recognize you from the first time you guys met. Jin will go."
Jin solemnly nodded despite having been volunteered without his consent. Their maknae was in danger and all of them were willing to lay down their lives to protect one another.
