(Marina's POV)
I stepped into my walk-in closet, carefully scanning over all of the various outfits hanging there. Walking around, I let my fingertips gently brush the soft clothing. The alcohol by this time had mostly vanished from my system, but there was still enough to affect my thought process.
Stopping on a low cut, light blue dress, I smirked.
"Why not?"
(The next morning)
I nervously walked up to the door to Jungkook's apartment and raised a hand to knock but hesitated.
"What am I doing?" I asked myself quietly, having already forgotten the events of last night, along with the terrifying dream. Pulling the bottom of the dress down nervously, I took in a deep breath, then knocked.
The sound of footsteps on the other side of the door gradually got louder before it swung open.
"Yes?" asked Jungkook, appearing from behind the door. His silky dark brown hair was wet and he had a towel draped around his neck, indicating that he just got out of the shower.
The second his eyes landed on me, a blush crept up his neck.
"Can I come in?" I asked, fidgeting slightly with my hands.
"Huh? O-oh yeah, of course," he stuttered, slipping out of the door frame so that I could walk inside.
The blushing mess of a man standing stock still behind the door lit a warmth inside of my heart for unknown reasons.
(3rd Person POV)
Jungkook followed Marina into his kitchen and quickly went over to grab the coffee pot and two mugs.
After he set the two drinks on the table, he sat down across from his visitor. For the longest time, neither of them talked, both awkwardly avoiding the others gaze.
"So," started Marina, finally breaking the silence.
"I-" Jungkook said simultaneously.
Unable to suppress a snicker, Marina laughed slightly. "Go ahead."
"I," he repeated once again, pausing for a second. "I'm sorry for intruding on your privacy like that. That was wrong of me.
"What am I doing? I can't let this friendship continue so why am I making up with her? This'll just make things worse in the future," he thought, nervously biting down on his bottom lip.
"I should apologize too, I just walked out without giving you an explanation. You couldn't have known," Marina replied with a gentle smile.
Her heart quickened slightly, as her eyes absentmindedly trailed across Jungkook face, taking in the full scale of his beauty.
Ba dum
Ba dum
Ba dum
"This isn't supposed to be happening," she thought, refusing to acknowledge the wildfire coursing through her veins as her gaze landed on his lush pink lips.
But unbeknownst to her, Jungkook's heart was doing the same exact thing.
