Diamond's POV.
"Agent Pierce," Trent acknowledges when I approach him.
"Hello Trent, sorry I'm late."
"I take it you were invited then."
"Yeah, Raina is on her way."
"Okay. Come in. The meeting is in the main hall, down the hallway then you right."
"Thank you. See you."
He nods and opens the door for me. Once he closes the behind me, I sigh in relief and head straight for the main hall.
Surprisingly, there's no guard at the door. I take a deep breathe in and push the door open. All gazes fix on me.
"Monica?"
I turn to Ace, "hi. Can I speak to you for a second?"
"We're in the middle of a very important meeting."
"This is equally important Ace," I bite my tongue as soon the name is out, "I'm sorry sir."
Blake is seated at one end of the table, Jennifer is next to him to his right, Ace is on the left, then Trevor, Ray, Declan and others I haven't seen before.
"Monica..." Ace starts but I cut him short.
"Please, it has something to do with your mother."
His brows furrow as he stares at me.
"What do you mean?" Blake inquires but my gaze remains on Ace's.
"Ace, I need your help and I have something else to tell you."
I take a breathe and slowly pull the wig off, then wipe of the makeup.
"Diamond," Ace says blankly.
The door opens and Jeremy walks in with Richard and Maryse after him. Blake, Jennifer and Trevor stands abruptly but Ace remains in his seat, his gaze now fixed on his mom.
"Hello Ace," Maryse smiles but Ace just stares at her. "Blake."
Blake moves to her and takes her into his arms, "oh god."
Maryse laughs and then Blake let her go. She turns to Ace who hasn't moved an inch.
"Ace," I whisper and he turns slowly to me, "she's fine."
His gaze remains on mine for some time before they return to his mother's.
"Ace?" His mom calls and he blinks.
Maryse walks out of Blake's hold and approach her son, who keeps gazing at her. She kneels beside him. I catch Ray , Declan and the other security guys leave the room.
"Ace, honey, it's me, your mother," she cups his face and he shuts his eyes tight. "Ace? Look at me, please."
He opens them and sobs, tears start streaming. I look away.
"Hey, my love," Maryse whispers and Ace hugs his mom. She gasps and hold him tight to her, "I love you so much dearest Ace."
Ace jerks back and stands abruptly. Maryse follows suit.
"Ace?"
He wipes the tears off, "what did that bastard do to you?"
"Ace, I'm fine."
"Seriously mom," he groans and closes the gap between himself and his mom. Then does the unexpected.
He grabs his mom's shirt and rips it partially. We all gasp.
"Ace," Blake warns.
"He did this to you," its more a statement than a question.
There were red mark marring the woman's chest and arm, and I could see whip marks climbing from her back to her nape.
"Ace, it's okay," Maryse tries to assure him but he shakes his head in protest.
"Jennifer," Ace calls out.
"I got it son," she replies and head out of the room with Trevor.
"Ace?"
"Mom, he's gonna pay for every single pain he caused you."
"Ace. It doesn't matter anymore."
"Time's running out," I blurt out without realizing I'd said it aloud.
"Mom, meet Diamond Jewels. She's my girlfriend," Ace tells his mom and the woman looks at me.
"You are Diamond, thank heavens."
"Mom?"
"The girl who saved me and Richard told us to find a girl named Diamond," Maryse explained and it seemed that's when Ace realize Richard was in the room.
"Richard."
"Hello Ace."
He nods and turns to me, "Diamond," then moves to my side, "what is it you want to tell me, love?"
"Clint he has my mom and Violette and he's going to kill them if I don't give him Maryse," the tears continue to flow and Ace draw me into his mom.
"Dad, we need to find Clint fast," Ace tells him. The door opens and Jennifer walks in with Trevor.
"We found Prey but the location is quite complicated. They changed locations again," Jennifer explains.
"Let me see the address," Richard takes the sheet from Jennifer and stares at the paper. After a pause, "I know the place and I can take you there."
Ace turns with me in his arms still. "Richard, this is your dad we're up against".
"I know Ace, I just want to set things right, and I'm sorry."
"You have nothing to be sorry about," Ace assures him and he smiles.
"Let's get going then," Blake announces, "Jeremy, Trevor, get Ray and his men, Jennifer get Maryse out of here and Richard, son, come with me," Blake shares a brief kiss with his wife and they all exit the room.
"Dad," Blake stops and turns to his son, "find Danika and Violette. And I'd like to have a word with Clinton Jefferson."
Blake nods and exits. It's just the two of us now.
"Diamond."
"I'm so sorry Ace."
He moves back and leans against the table, arms folded across his chest as he stares at me. Everything seems like it was all a pretence but no, it wasn't.
"We should probably go with them," Ace says blankly and I wipe the tears of my face. I glance at my watch. 3:25am. I turn to Ace.
"No, Ace."
"You never told me, why?"
"I don't know okay, I just...I just didn't want to ruin anything between us," I explain.
"And you think the truth was gonna ruin us? I practically withheld nothing from you and you kept this away from me. Christ, I even risked your life back at the tunnels."
"Ace, I'm sorry. I didn't want to jeopardize either my relationship with you or my job as your guard, I just didn't want to lose you and I thought at least I could keep an eye on you as your guard. I knew you would've stopped me the instant you knew and I didn't want that. I love you and I want to be part of every single detail of your life, ruthless or not, I'm in love with you." I sigh and he just stares.
He straightens up and approaches.
"Ace?"
"I am so in love with you, beautiful," his lips meet mine then and I coil my arms about his neck, kissing him back.
