Diamond's POV
I'm sitting in my favorite class Chemistry and Mr. Allen Cooper is introducing Alpha particles. As I listen, I wonder when are test results for last week's test would be given to us.
This time I don't think I'll get an A. I had missed the class and so had missed the lesson the test had been based on.
Five minutes till the closing siren chimes, Mr. Cooper wraps up and tells us to come get our test results as we left the class.
I like to keep a low profile at school for fear of who may be watching my every move.
"Ace, you've got to study harder or else..."
I look up from my seat at the back of the class to look at Mr. Cooper who also happened to be the the basketball team coach. And there, I know popular basketball captain, Ace Milan's captainship is at stake.
Ace Milan is every girl's dream boyfriend, a to die for and apparently from the very good side of the world. He is gorgeous with pretty golden hair, piercing grey eyes and beautifully sculptured lips.
I'm not paying attention of course.
Ace takes his sheet from Mr. Cooper and I proceed to take mine. He hands it to me with a happy grin and says, "good job done as always, Diamond".
So I had an A after all.
I nod and head back to my seat as Mr. Cooper exits the classroom. I notice Ace is still in his seat. I bite my lip and walk up to his desk.
He has his left hand clamped over his mouth and he's staring at.... nothing.
Oh boy.
"Um, hey", he looks up at me with a confused look.
" Diamond, is it?", he says none too friendly and I think I should just forget what I'm about to do but I dismiss the thought.
" Yeah", I reply with a smile, "can I see that?" I ask him and point to his test sheet.
He casts a glare in my way before passing it to me. I bend and pick it up. I blink a couple of times. Aren't the richest kids supposed to be the most brilliant or something?
A D-minus? Hmm...
"Chemistry sucks doesn't it?", I say and he looks up at me and back at my sheet, which is now lying on the table by his right hand.
"Not for you, it doesn't".
"Chemistry can be quite simple when you want it to be, you know". He gazes at me for sometime and I wonder if I said something wrong.
"I could help you out if you want".
He gives me a searching gaze before getting up and picking up his bag, " thanks but what would you want in return for you help"
"Keep it a secret", he furrows his brows and I add quickly, " from your friends? Do you think you could do that?"
After a moment, he says, "deal"
"Deal", I repeat and adjust my hoodie.
He nods with a smile and exits the classroom. I grab my bag and go to meet my best friend, Jessica Jensen, by her red Audi convertible.
Jessica is a brunette with the killer body ever. She looked like a Mexican model with that perfect body of here's. Her blue eyes were every girl's dream. She was a striking beauty. Her parents are the sole owners of Jensen Industrial.
