Kabanata 1

"Hello?" I said on the phone. Kuya Kib is calling me for whatever reason now, pasalamat siya mabait yung professor ko ngayon. 

"Ina, tomorrow is our family day. Kailangang nandun ka ah? Don't worry I already called mama and papa. No excuses." 

"Of course I'll be there, so you called just for this?" Narinig ko siyang tumawa sa aking sinabi before siya sumagot. It's kinda noisy there actually. 

"Yes and I know you still have classes, I just want to disturb you." 

"Kainis ka talaga! You know I'm very conscious about my grades right? Sige na, I'll be back na. Bye kuya I love you!" 

"I know right, sige sige bye. I love you too." I hanged up the phone and immediately ran back to the classroom. 

As soon as nakabalik ako sa classroom, our professor is now handing the assignment. Literature kasi yung subject namin before lunch. 

"Okay class, your assignment for next week will be what you will do during the weekend. I'm pretty sure merong pupunta sa family day bukas. Am I right?" Some of us said yes, after that professor dismissed us for lunch break.

"So, pupunta ka bukas Ina?" Blanche told me, she's a cousin of Brent Paraiso. Kilala niyo naman siguro siya no?  

"Oo eh. Sabi ni kuya no excuses, gusto ko pa namang pumunta sa bookstore. Kaso family day eh." Blanche nodded at nagpatuloy sa pagkuha ng kanyang lunch. 

As we finished getting food, umupo kami sa isang lamesa and happily ate our lunch. Gutom na kami mga bes! But a few moments later, the four girls which are Chloe, Avah, Samantha and Avery (CASA Sisters kasi raw sa kanilang names) approached us. 

"Hi Czarina, mind if I talk to your kuya? Saglit lang." Tumtitig ako sa kay Samantha.

She is one of kuya's admirers. Kaya lang, she one hella obsessed girl. I can't just give her kuya's number right?

"Hello? Ina, give me his number. Now." Tinaas ko yung eyebrows ko and shrugged. She's violent, but I don't care.

"You know what, alis na nga tayo B. Nawalan na ako ng gana eh." Blance laughed and nodded at sumunod sakin.

We left the CASA Sisters inside the cafeteria. I don't give a damn about them really. Besides kung papansinin ko sila, mangungulit lang yun about kay kuya.

"Alam naman siguro nila na si achi Des lang kay ahia Kib no?"

"I think so, pero you know she's obsessed right? Let's not waste our time. Tara na nga, the day is still mahaba."

Tinawa nalang namin yun at naglakad papunta sa quadrangle, tutal we still have an hour left before sa next class.

I spent my time on Twitter and nakita ko yung tweet ni Samantha tungkol sa'kin. Wow, big deal yun sa kanya? Tsk tsk.

 you know what? @CzarinaMontalbo is so cruel! Di niya ibibigay number ni Kib ko, like girl is the number yours? 

Tumawa nalang ako sa kanyang tweet. Kawawa, nagmumukhang hopeless tuloy tsk tsk. Maraming nag reply dun and nag rant sa kanyang timeline. Di ko nga alam anong ginagawa niya ngayon. 

Some KibRee fan accounts are now ranting too.

The last one made me mad. Di talaga nakaka-intindi no? May pa rolls eyes pa siyang natutunan.

I cleared my head at inanyayahan ko nalang si Blanche para pumasok na sa next class. Bahala na yun.

"And that is how the world began." Sabi ni Jake, isang kaklase ko after naming manood ng isang documentary about sa Earth. 

Tumawa kaming lahat sa kanyang komento, Earth Science yung subject namin ngayon and it was cool. Pinanood lang namin yung documentary and labasan na. But actually, the film was pretty interesting though. 

"Okay enough, you are now dismissed." I packed my things now at inantay si Blanche sa hallway. Saktong sakto naman lumabas na siya at naglakad lakad na rin kami sa campus. 

"So, san tayo ngayon? Balita ko na cancel raw yung mga second period classes eh." 

"Huh? Bakit raw B, eh bago pa nga tayo pumasok labas na agad?" Reklamo ko sa kaibigan. 

"Di mo ba yun gusto? Ay oo nga pala, you're all about studying, books bla bla bla. Pero seryoso Ina, cancelled daw. May game yata ngayon sa court. La Salle vs Emilio Aguinaldo College raw, I don't know sino mga players." 

I shrugged at dumiretso sa locker ko. Nilagay ko na yung mga gamit kong hindi ko kakailanganin para di naman masyadong mabigat bag ko. 

Sa isang sulyap ko, I saw kuya Kib walking towards us with ... huh? Ricci Rivero? What are they doing here?
