Kabanata 6

Days and weeks passed, we became the best of friends ni Ricci. Kaya lang, we would only meet during the weekends because of school.

"Ina!" I glanced back at the hallway and found Blanche, running towards me.

"Yes? May problema ba?" I answered and smiled. Nagpatuloy kaming maglakad patungo sa Computer Lab.

"Wala naman, ang saya mo ata ngayon ah? What is it?" She grinned like a crazy person kaya tumawa ako.

"Nothing! Just happy. Bakit, bawal ba?"

"Siguro kay Ricci nanaman yan no? am I right?" I rolled my eyes at her, di ko alam pangilang tanong na niya ito this day.

"Hindi nga! He's just my best friend diba?"

"What!? Akala ko ako lang Ina? How dare you!" Pabiro siyang umiyak at napahawak sa dibdib.

"You know what? Kahit pa best friend ko na si Ccing, you're still my bestest friend. Even though I know that word doesn't exist." I laughed at saka tumungo na kami sa silid.

We found the CASA Sisters sitting at the front row, and nung nakapasok na kami ng tuluyan, the four of them stood up. Walking towards us, yes nakabalik na sila from the suspension. It was only for 2 weeks.

But hey, that was pretty bad. Andami kayang possibleng mangyari ng two weeks! Hirap na nga sila ngayon sa pag cope up. Mataas kasi expectation ng parents nila.

"Ina, Blanche. We just want to say sorry, for everything. This time, we really mean it. Promise. The both of you are really pretty, but we were just insecure kaya namin nasabi yun." Panimula ni Samantha, leader nila.

"I'm sorry for calling you a gold digger Ina, it's just that never pa akong pinapansin ni Ricci eh. Sorry talaga." Chloe said to me.

I smiled and replied. "It's okay, at least you know what you did wrong now." She nodded and smiled back. This time, for real.

Natapos ang pag drama namin nung pumasok na si Prof. Both me and Blanche sat at the third row while the four, at the front.

It was nice hearing them say sorry and makita ang hindi nila fake na mga ngiti.

Natapos rin ang mahabang araw sa school. Thank God it's Friday! Nagpaalam ako kay Blanche at dumiretso sa waiting shed, waiting for my sundo. Nakita ko na ang Aston Martin ni kuya and stood up while collecting my book. 

As it parked, the driver's door opened and I saw Ricci. What? He's driving the car? Anlayo ng Metro Manila! And he drove just to fetch me from school? Waw.

"Hey, how is school? Napayag ko si Kib na magsundo sa'yo since wala naman kaming pasok. What are you reading? That seems very thick." He reached for my book at in-examine ito. 

"Hmm, The Mortal Instruments yan. Book 1 and it's super nice, you should read it. At wow ha, bilib ako sa'yo.You really drove an hour just to fetch me and di talaga yan nagpapahiram ng sasakyan, sabi niya baby niya raw yan." He laughed with me at saka binuksan na yung passenger seat.

"Baliw talaga kuya mo. Anyway where do you want to go now?" 

"Di ko alam, ikaw? I'm a bit of hungry actually. Pagod na ako." 

"Alam mo pala yang pagod pagdating sa studies?"  Sinapak ko siya na iyong kinatawa niya. I love my studies very much and ilang buwan nalang, mag s-senior high school na ako, kaya I need to work extra hard para maka abot sa Top. 

Since isang oras yung biyahe papuntang Metro Manila galing Dasmarinas, I opened my bag and kinuha ko yung phone ko. I linked the phone sa stereo and chose my favorites.

Nag play yung Long Way Home ng 5 Seconds of Summer and agad naman itong nagustuhan ni Cci. 

"Ah, my favorite song! And amazing,  it matches our situation now." 

"Really? This is mine too!" The song played as we drove around.

I looked at Ricci and he looked at me nang dumating yung chorus.

Napakanta kaming dalawa and I'm surprised to hear his voice, although we've been friends for a while now, ngayon ko lang narinig ng maayos yung kanyang boses.

An hour went by, the drive was smooth and nagpark kami dito sa Flaming Wings, beside DLSU Taft Avenue. Anlayo no? Uuwi kasi ako tuwing Friday kaya dito ako dumidiretso. 

We rushed inside dahil sa gutom, haha oo. I ordered the usual which is Wing Meal, while yun nalang din kay Cci. 

"So, anong plans mo after 10th grade?" He asked while eating. 

"Dunno, I'll see what's meant for me. Char! Haha." He laughed with me 'tsaka nagpatuloy sa pagkain. After dinner, he offered to pay pero di ako pumayag. 

"Ako na talaga. Huwag ka na makipag-away." 

"Okay fine. Next time ako naman." Ccing smiled and payed. 

Sumakay na kami muli at nagtungo sa bahay. We drove around town for a while and finally arrived. As I unloaded my things, Ricci helped too. Marami rami na kasi to since it's Friday, uwian ko. 

Nung nakapasok na kami, I found the Riveros inside the living room. Huh? 

"Hello po, good evening!" I greeted them. 

"Good evening din, Ina. We're glad na naka-uwi kayo ng safe." Tito Pao said. 

"Oo nga po eh, nag dinner na po ba kayo? Tapos na po kami ni Ricci." They all nodded. 

"Great! Punta muna kami sa taas." Tumango nanaman sila and yun nga pumunta kami sa ikalawang palapag. 

"So this is your room. Cute." I glared at him and laughed. As I unloaded my bags, he spoke to me. 

"Dito pala ako matutulog." Ano daw!?
