Kabanata 4

I tried my very best na mag prepare less than 2 hours. Tagal ko no? Haha, so eto nga I grabbed my black dress and brought my olive green utility jacket. Then kinulot ko nang bahagya ang buhok to make it more lively. 

Tapos sa paa, ay isang black swirl lace up heels to match up my dress. Pwede nato.

"Ina bilisan mo na. Baka malate tayo sa Family Day." 

"Pababa na po!" 

Nagmamadali akong bumaba sa stairs due to kuya being impatient. Siya kaya maging babae? Without further ado, sumakay na ako sa kotse kasama si kuya. 

"Ba't ba nauna sina mama at papa?" 

"Dunno, baka may aasikasuhin. You know, they're part of the committee." Tumango-tango ako saka pinaandar na ni kuya yung makina ng sasakyan. 

As we reached DLSU, the campus is packed with students now. I can remember some of the buildings and ang mga daan, pero andami talagang tao! Then gabi na so di masyadong malinaw. Saan kaya sina mama at papa ngayon? 

"Ina, dito tayo." Sumunod ako kay kuya patungo sa gymnasium, I wonder bakit gabi na held ang family day pero wow, the campus is super lit at night. 

Pagpasok ko sa gymnasium, -of course I'm staying close with kuya- the pillars and walls are decorated with green and white banners, fairy lights at kung ano-ano pa. It's like a birthday party or what. 

"Ahia, san sina mama at papa? And where is achi Des?" 

"You have so many questions, nandoon sila sa table oh. Magsasalo-salo tayo sa Archers, then hindi makaka dating si Des kasi she's attending a birthday party. Satisfied?" I shrugged and kept myself busy with my phone. 

A few moments before mag start ang program, dumating na rin ang ibang Green Archers at nagtungo sa lamesang inuupuan namin ni kuya ngayon. 

"Nice to meet you again Ina, mind if I sit beside you?" It was Ricci, I smiled at his presence at kinsa usap siya. He's wearing a black t-shirt, green bomber jacket, black pants and black shoes. Damn, nagmumukha na tuloy kaming nag plano. 

"Oy ano yan ha? Matchy-matchy sila oh! Ay, inggit ang kuya!" Tumawa kami sa sinabi ni Aljun and yet si kuya, looks jealous. Hay nako. 

"Wait 'till bumalik si Des. Who you kayo! Well actually except Ina and Ricci." I rolled my eyes and laughed.  

Lumipas ang gabi, nagsimula na rin ang party. The people are now really hyped, may palaro sa lahat but no, I can't play with an outfit like this. It was fun and entertaining really. 

"You're really happy ah? Gusto mong sumali?" Ricci told me. 

"Yeah I am, but no. Di ako makakapaglaro ng naka ganito Ccing!" 

"What did you just called me?" He laughed. 

"Ccing. Yan na yung nickname ko sa'yo ngayon, since ikaw meron na rin para sa kin. Pero really, I'm not playing." 

He chuckled and nag pout. Ang cute! "Come on, paper dance na yung susunod oh. My favorite of all time." 

"Paper dance? Okay, I'm in!" I like dancing really, and singing too. I wonder what does he like as a hobby? 

Natapos na yung previous game which is dapat maubos yung apple with your partner. Nakakatuwang tignan yung mga naglaro, kasi yung iba, muntik nang naghahalikan para lang maubos yung apple. 

I hope they're in a relationship though, kasi kung hindi, naku! May problema tayo diyan. Hahaha! 

"Okay guys! Ngayon naman is ang paper dance. Alam niyo naman siguro to no? Okay so we only need ten pairs. Dali na!" Excited na pag anunsyo nung emcee, she's an officer siguro sa USG. 

"Laro kami ni Ina guys, tara sali tayo!" Pag aya ni Cci sa iba. 

"Ay nice! Kayo nalang dun para may representative yung table natin! Hahaha!" 

"Tss, bahala kayo." Pumunta na kami sa gitna, at nag hiyawan yung mga tao sa gym. This is not what I expected. 

Andaming tao bes! Here, there, everywhere! I saw mama and papa at the table, nagkatuwaan sa mommy and daddy ni Ricci. Oo, I know them because of kuya. Oh jeez. 

Without a minute wasted, nagsimula na yung paper dance contest. The music playing was Perfect by Ed Sheeran. Okay, this is one hella awkward. 

"Mukhang nag-kakaisa silang lahat ah?" Tumawa ako sa sinabi ni Ricci. 

"That's what I was thinking too. Let's win this, I'm an expert pag paper dance haha!" 

Nagsayawan ang lahat ng pares sa musika and eventually, pumatong sa newspaper whenever the music stops. It was really fun!

"And we have a winner! Oh, si Ricci Rivero at Ina Montalbo!" Naghiyawan muli ang mga tao saka kami bumalik sa table. 

"Naks ah! Galing niyo pala sa paper dance. Tinadhana talaga kayo." Sabi ni kuya. I shook my head nalang at uminom ng tubig. 

The rest of the time ay pinag pi-piyestahan lang kami nila nung time na kinarga na ako ni Ricci and dun na kami nanalo. It was pretty fun though. 

"Tara na guys doon sa photo booth, since wala pang tao." Napag desisyonan na nga namin na pumunta sa photo booth. 

"Ricci at Ina muna!" Wala kaming nagawa at pumasok na nga doon. I grabbed the green crown and Ricci did the same. After nun, we claimed the polaroid photo and then lumabas. 

Sumunod naman yung iba tapos ang final is, kami na lahat. I stacked the photo inside my phone para di mawala, and for sure, I'm going to keep this.

I checked my Twitter and saw a tweet from Ccing.
