Chapter twenty one- A party before parting

Melody's POV

It's been a week's since Corey has became my boyfriend and I can't help but still get extremely excited.

He has to return back to work soon and when I say soon I mean tomorrow  which sucks because I know I'm going to miss him.

Not trying to stop the pout that came to my face. What if he gets hurt over there and doesn't remember who I am? 

What if the mutants kidnap him and won't give him back unless I give them an endless supply of choc chip cookies.

Feeling myself being lifted in the air. I couldn't help but let out a squeal. Glancing up I saw Corey smiling at me but also looking at me in concern.

"Are you ok cherub?" Corey asked while giving my a peck on the lips.

Nodding my head which I have hidden in between his neck. I don't want to come off needy. I mean we have only been together for a bit over a week.

"Tell me the truth beautiful." Corey demanded softly while bringing my face up to his.

"I'm just going to miss you." I whispered in the hopes that he wouldn't here me. I'm glad that Rex isn't here to tease me because I know I would be blushing ten times worse I'd he was.

I'm surprised how close we have got over the last week. Rex is definitely going to be a big part of my life.

I call him my annoying loveable brother much to him and Corey's amusement.

"I'm going to miss you too beautiful. You'll be able to chat with me on Skype with my mum and dad. Plus I'll write you as much as I can." Corey said while cuddling me closer to him.

Carefully turning my body around so that I was know facing him. I leaned in for a quick kiss but Corey had other ideas. Deepening the kiss I reached my arms up and ran them through his hair.

Once we broke for air, I started to kiss my way softly over the scars on his face. I love kissing them. When I first  did it Corey tried to stop me because he was embarrassed.

I did ask him what happened and he said he would tell me another time. I am happy enough just being in his life.

Corey has some more buddy's coming over for there party tonight before they all head out. I can't help but be nervous but Rex and I have came up with a prank of our own to play tonight.

I just hope Rex doesn't get to exciting and blow it up but I have faith in him.

I'm nervous meeting more people but both Corey and Rex have promised me that they are harmless.

I'm still worried about the person that's after me but I can't go to the police, after my dad passed away. One police officer in our old town  use to follow me everywhere. Not to mention what I done to Penny.

Shivering at the thought of his dark eyes, the ones that haunted me for months after I left.

"So we have a few hours before Rex is back with the supplies. What do you say to me teaching you how to drive."

Looking at him like his gone crazy. No way am I doing it. I could end up hurting him.

"Don't look at me that way cherub I know your lost faith that you can drive but I have faith in you." Corey spoke while standing up. I grabbed tighter. A little bit afraid that I'm to heavy.

He put me in the drivers side of his truck before putting my seat belt on, taking a deep breath while praying that I do kill the both of us.

"Ok cherub show me what you got." Corey spoke with a wink.
