You yawned. For some reason, you didn't like going to school, and it was the first day of class. The train station was closed, making you feel lazy to move. You thought that skipping the orientation won't affect your attendance in school, so you decided to stay in bed.

Moreover, the sky remained as grey like yesterday. The cold wind made you sleepier. Before you could close your eyes, a sudden crackling sound was heard in the room. You thought it was a ghost and screamed. But then you realized,

"No, how ridiculous! Why would I believe in those stuff?" Shaking your head, you decided to go downstairs. You saw your mother reading newspapers and a cup of coffee was in her hand.

"Y/N, is that you?" Your mother adjusted her eyeglasses and squinted her eyes. "Aren't you going to school, dear? It's your first year in high school."

You yawned. "It's just the orientation. And besides, the terminal's closed so I can't go. The school's too far from here."

Your mother didn't believe, but eventually nodded. "Where are you going then?"

"I'll just check the mailbox," you answered.

"Alright. Go to the flower shop too. I'll be needing a new bouquet of flowers for your father's tomb."

You soon received the money and went off. Closing the door behind you, you noticed the sky forming dark clouds, and before a second could pass, a drop of water touched your nose, followed by a heavy rain pouring down all of a sudden.

You took an umbrella. You didn't want to disappoint your mother when it comes to your father. I could've cared less about the droplets of water sprinkling into my skin, but something's strange today. You thought.

The rain wasn't heavy like before.

You decided to stop for a while under a shed to wait for the rain to at least go light.

You sighed. The umbrella was too small for you to fit in. Partly soaked in water— you didn't like getting wet.

"Stupid rain. Makes me wet. I haven't taken a bath yet," you mumbled as you closed the umbrella. You kept on muttering about how the rain made your life so unlucky. "Raining suddenly and I had no umbrella. Aish! I even had to wash my clothes after. I hate the rain!" You slightly dropped the umbrella beside you.

You could've continued mumbling, but you shut your mouth immediately. Your face turned pink when you saw a boy around fourteen— probably two years older than you. You quickly picked up the umbrella and averted.

How embarassing! Did he hear me mumbling about the rain? You thought nervously. What if he was there while I said I haven't taken a bath yet? Damn it!

You covered your mouth out of embarrassment.

Silence.

"The rain is getting light," the guy suddenly spoke. You startled, and then looked at him.

An average height for a guy. Dark hair, obsidian eyes, olive skin. That was kind of strange. No one looked like him here in this town.

That's not normal, you thought. Unless one of his parents are from a Western country. You glanced down at yourself, slightly feeling conscious.
