Although you are a child of (g/p), you always excelled in archery. Even the most skilled archer who was a kid of Apollo praised you for having expertise in archery. The only closest friends to you were Austin and Kayla who were children of the sun god.
Kayla was also an expert in shooting arrows while Austin was more like gifted with a beautiful voice. The two seldom visited your cabin since they had their own business. What was kind of lonely, they ate from a different table. You never had the chance to be friends with your half-siblings which was off and weird.
You snapped out of your thoughts after realizing you were now seated at the (g/p) table. The rest of your siblings in the godly side were already eating their dinner.
"(Y/F/F) and a glass of (Y/F/D)." You whispered. A platter of food and a glass of some fizzy drink materialized instantly on the desk in front of you. Your stomach churned; it was just the right time to eat a huge mountain of your favorite food.
You glanced at the Apollo table expecting to see Kayla and Austin. Unfortunately, you only saw Austin staring down at the drink he was stirring. Where's Kayla?
"Attention, campers!" Chiron stood up with his horse legs, raising a hand. The convos of different people shut down automatically, all of their heads turned to him. You spared attention to the centaur but all you could think of was the goblet of probably a wine in his hand. "I've got both sort of news for you. A good one and a bad one. Which one would you like to hear first?"
"We need the bad news first!" yelled some from the Ares table.
"No. The good news will calm us down!" A daughter of Demeter argued.
"Either way." You weren't sure you heard that one right.
"Alright. We'll settle for the good news." Chiron smiled as he raised another hand. Some of the others snickered. "Good news: Camp Half-Blood is getting stronger and more protected by its boundaries, since all of you demigods are now here and most of you have been taking care of the premises and facilities. Because of that, Capture the Flag on Friday will be cancelled. It'll take on next week again. I appreciate everyone's care for our camp."
You couldn't help but smile, since it was very pleasing to hear. The only place you could live in was this camp and thankfully the camp's borders are getting stronger.
Drastically, Chiron grimaced. "The bad news is . . . Somehow a certain type of monster managed to get into the Western Woods. I just happened to receive a report that Kayla, from the Apollo cabin went missing this morning."
So that's why she's not here. You thought worriedly.
Chiron squared his shoulders. "Austin, do you mind telling them what happened?"
You looked to see Austin having tears filled in his eyes. You knew Kayla was almost a real sister to him. He nodded and managed to stand up.
"Yesterday midnight, I suddenly woke up and I didn't know why. I saw the door opened so I looked outside," Austin said. "I saw Kayla drifting to the woods like she was being summoned but I only thought it was a dream so I went back to sleep. But when I woke up early in the morning, Kayla wasn't in bed. I asked a lot of people but they didn't know where she was."
"And the monster only got into the woods yesterday afternoon," said a blond guy with blue eyes suddenly spoke up, who stood up beside Austin.
I didn't notice him. You thought. He's probably their head counselor.
Sherman Yang, a son of Ares snorted. "Then why didn't you kill the monster in the first place? Because you don't know how to kill?"
