The bubblegum was the reason why...

Luke and you met.

You were leaning yourself on the lockers. You pulled out a small pack of bubblegum and got one. Suddenly, you noticed someone coming towards your direction. While you were chewing bubblegum, you looked at the person. A blond guy with blue eyes rested his side on the lockers, smiling at you.

"What are you staring at?" You chuckled at him.

"Mind if I get a bubblegum from you?" He looked at you with his blue eyes sparkling at you. You laughed. "Alright," you answered. He picked out a bubblegum from the pack and chewed it.

"I'm Luke," he smiled. You smiled back. "It's nice meeting you, Luke," you said. "I'm (Y/N)." The two of you shook hands gently.

Your friendship with him started to grow more.

"Hey (Y/N)!" Someone called out. You were tying your shoelaces because they weren't tied, so you were bending down. As you turned around you saw Luke running towards you. You stared at him, his face being hit by the sunshine. "Luke?" You said amazingly. You never thought he would meet with you again right after the two of you met each other. "Hey, I heard you passed the try-outs," he said, grinning.

"Well, yeah," you said, a little shy. Luke picked out something from his pocket. Unbelievably you just saw the bubblegum you always brought with you. "Want some?" He asked. You gave him a sideway smile, "Yeah." You took a gum and chewed it.

"Um, (Y/N)?"

"Yeah?"

"Can we hang out sometimes?"

You thought for a while and nodded. "Okay."

Luke smiled. "Thanks," he suddenly pulled you into a hug. That was, unbelievably unbelievable, right?

A sudden kiss happened.

The two of you went inside the car, heading back home. "That was totally awesome," you laughed. "Yeah," Luke also laughed. It was because of a comedy movie you watched in the cinema.

"Hey," you tapped Luke on the shoulder before he could even start the engine. Luke faced you and made a "what?" face. You held out the bubblegum to him. He chuckled and was about to pick out a gum when....

He suddenly dropped it and leaned forward into a kiss. He just—kissed you—suddenly.

You walked down the stairs, when you suddenly saw Luke standing before the staircase. When you reached the bottom, Luke gazed at you. You didn't know why. Well, it had been three years and the two of you were still together as a couple, loving each other as boyfriend and girlfriend.

"Luke?" You asked, a bit confused of his actions. You waited.

You watched him, he slowly looked down pocket, his hand reaching into his pocket. Not until you just realized he pulled out—something.

Luke, had just pulled out a small box, showing the most unbelievable thing, you'd ever seen.

A ring.

You couldn't believe what was happening. You were about to cry out of happiness. "(Y/N)," Luke said. "Will you...marry me?"

"Yes," you instantly answered, tears falling out of your eyes as he inserted the ring to your finger. Luke smiled. He stood up and pulled you into a hug.

"I love you."

"Love you too."

When the two of you pulled away, he kissed you passionately. You pulled out the bubblegum, and looked into his eyes. He smiled, as the two of you took a bubblegum.
