A Malfoy's Warning

(Third Person)

Hermione had fallen asleep on Severus's lap last night while he was reading to her. The book lays forgotten on the floor.

(Malfoy Manor)

"You have to go Draco!" Narcissa cries. "You have to go warn them. You're the only one who can leave. Go, go."

Draco quickly takes the floo to the headmaster's office from his manor. He was sitting in his big chair, chatting with some of the other staff. They were having a meeting (That Severus forgot about.) it was now over and they were just having tea and talking.

"Professor Dumbledore. The death eaters... they're going to try to... take Hermione." Draco gasps out of breath.

"What!" he says

"I don't know when and I don't know how but they're trying. And they're not going to stop. We need to tell Snape."

"Draco, why didn't your father come and warn us?" McGonagall asks.

"He's dead." He nearly screams at her but it ends in a whisper. "They killed him. They killed my father!" Draco starts tearing up thing about his dad. Then he runs out of the room.

"Come on Minerva. We need to see, Severus." Dumbledore dismisses everyone else and he and McGonagall walk down to the dungeons.

"Albus, for all we know he could be lying to us." She says.

"We don't want to take chances. And there is no telling what Severus would do if someone other than him even laid a tip of there finger on her.

(Hermione's POV)

Dumbledore and McGonagall come barging into the room. And not very quiet either. Within seconds Severus stands up throwing me onto the ground and pointing his wand at them.

"Calm down, Severus," Dumbledore says calmly. 

"How is he supposed to be calm, Albus!" McGonagall snaps.

"You guys gave me a bloody heart attack. What do you want." Severus says picking me up and setting me in the chair we were in moments ago.

"The Malfoy boy... Draco came into my office telling me the death eaters are coming for..." 

"What!" Severus interrupts Dumbledore.

"He said they're coming to take Hermione." McGonagall blurts out. "Before you freak out we don't know if its true or not."

Severus takes this in and I look up at him, genuinely scared. He touches my face then turns back to them. "Wheres Lucius.?"

"Draco... said they killed him. Killed him while he was trying to come and warn you." McGonagall says.

"I'll owl Cissa."

"It's too risky, Severus," Dumbledore tells him. "You don't want to go and get her killed too. If she's not already dead.

"Narcissa's not dead." He looks at me. "She's not dead. Narcissa's  a smart woman. But then again I thought Lucius was smart to but I guess I was wrong."

"What do you want to do, Severus?" McGonagall asks.

"Nothing. Just wait them out. If they come they'll have to deal with me and trust me no one will fucking touch her. No one. If anything looks... suspicious call the Auror office until then, we are fine."

"Okay, Severus." They turn to leave.

"Oh and Albus." 

"Yes?" He asks.

"Keep, Potter safe too.

"Okay."
