"Through the little doll's eyes" (Coraline)

Hey whores Ima back. I have always wanted to do a theory on Coraline. This movie has been one of my favorite animated kids films sense I was little!

Now much of the background and important characters in the film we know very little about when you think about it. The neighbors, the cat, Wybie, even the Other Mother. However we can put the pieces together with what little we know about all of them.

The Other Mother in the beginning of the film is shown to be taking the doll she made of the sweet ghost girl and remaking it into what will be Coraline. It's like she already knew of her arriving presence Into the pink palace. Is it possible that the Other Mother is actually a woman from this other worldly dimension that closely Mirrors our world? The black cat also seemed to already know of the other world after Coraline talked to him while visiting for the 3rd time. But how and why did he know that? Well he explains that "cats have far more superior senses then humans" is it possible his abilities to sense the unknown warned him of the dangers Coraline would face?

Back to the Other Mother. Has anyone ever wondered if the painting of the sad blue boy could have actually been her child?! Is it possible he died and that she went crazy and ran away to this alternate dimension where her magic transformed her into an evil entity. Maybe! This would explain why she transforms into the parents of her victims to life them until the child is hers. Once she has their eyes she eats there souls so that she can live. If you don't remember from the film she uses dolls that she makes to watch her victims back in their world to see what's wrong in their lives so that she can pretend to make it better to prepare to eat them. So could it all be possible that the cat knew this all along and was waiting for Coraline's arrival like a prophecy? What do you think?
