"Jeon, you godamn idiot!" you yelled after the laughing boy running off, high-fiving a grinning blonde Gryffindor as he passed. You narrowed your eyes after the two, picking up your fallen books with a sigh.

Every time was the same. You would come out of the library with your arms full of study books and homework and Jeon Jungkook and his stupid friends would manage to annoy you in some way or the other.

You could see Min Yoongi's slick smirk from behind a pillar and glared at him from your kneeling position. The Slytherin simply raised his eyebrows in response, disappearing into the darkness.

Gritting your teeth, you stuffed the parchment with your Herbology homework into your bag and stood up, straightening your blue tie. You were probably the most temperamental, Gryffindor-like Ravenclaw out there, but who cared.

As you climbed up the stairs to the tower, you bumped into Jung Hoseok, another one of the notorious Hogwarts Troublemakers. However, he seemed to be in a good mood today, waving at you with a bright smile.

"Y/N, such a pleasant sight", he grinned. You didn't say anything, walking past the boy without sparing him a glance. Your cold shoulder didn't prevent him from following you, down the corridor and towards Ravenclaw tower, chatting merrily.

You stayed silent, trying to ignore him the best you could, but that was practically impossible when talking about Hoseok. He was this bouncing, smiling ball of sunshine; on top of that he was Hufflepuffs best chaser. And you supposed he could be really sweet and kind at times, but now wasn't it.

"Hoseok, can you leave me alone?" you eventually emitted through gritted teeth, stopping his practically never ending flow of speech. He cocked his head to one side, walking almost in front of you, examining you with wide eyes.

"That's not like you to be so rude", he pouted, ruffling his red hair. You sighed, both of you already approaching the tower. "Please?" you added, trying to sound a little lighter and not like you were about to murder someone.

Wrong move. Hoseok grinned widely, obviously pleased. Resuming your previous demeanour, you increased your walk into a faster pace, glad to almost be rid of him as you saw the door to Ravenclaw tower ahead of you.

Just as you were about to knock at it, it swung open, revealing Kim Namjoon, the schools head boy. He looked at you and Hoseok in surprise, noticing your annoyed expression.

"Y/N, you okay?" he asked sympatically, trying to contain a grin. You rolled your eyes and pushed past the taller male, muttering: "You can tell Jeon to feck off. Park Jimin too, for that matter".

Namjoon's amused chuckle was the last thing you heard from them. For the evening, at least. Nightime was a whole other matter, but you didn't know that yet. For now, you thought everything would be the same as always.

The common room was deserted as you snuck down from the girls' dormitories at midnight. Robe thrown over your pyjamas, wand safely tucked in one of the pockets, you made your way outside into the corridor.

You liked walking around in the corridors at night, visiting the library too. It gave you an adrenalin rush escaping teachers and Filch, the caretaker, with his cat. Seeing you were one of the best students in the year, it wasn't like you couldn't find some spell to help you get away each time.

There was nobody in sight and you began wandering along the hallways. After six years of walking around here, you knew the castle pretty well. Soon enough you were at the library, and just about to push open the doors when you heard something.

Footsteps.

As quick as a flash you hid behind a pillar, the same one Min Yoongi had leant against earlier today. Squinting into the darkness, you saw a figure walk out of one of the many corridors, looking around carefully. The moonlight caught the boy's hair – it was silvery gray.
