I pushed through the doors of the school and immediatly felt like I was going to throw up. Today could not get any worse. Laken was gone which mean that dad was gone and I was stuck with Wren Morris, my bodyguard babysitter.
I had just gotten to my locker when the bell rang singling that we had five minutes before first peroid. I grabbed what I needed and shut my locker. Turning to walk up the hall I saw Nadine and her minions walking towards me. The entire hallway parted like the red sea for him to walk through. I turned around planning on taking a different route to first period.
"Leaving so soon Smeverly?" I heard my nickname and pursed my lips.
"I have to get to class Nadine." I muttered as she stopped right in front of me.
"I dont think you do. I think I would like to talk to you first." She said tilting her head and sticking out her lips. "Wren, the new kid. Stay away from him okay? SInce Laken is taken I plan on going with Wren to Homecoming." She said in an almost thretening manner. I scoffed and looked up at her.
"You think im competition?"
"I dont think your even on the same radar as Wren and I. However you seem to get in the way of things. If I see you talking to him again Im going to make your life a living hell." She thretened again.
"As if you dont already." I mumbled under my breathe. I could see Wren coming down the hallway towards us and Nadine did to I guess because her entire body language changed. She stood up straight and put a fake smile on her face.
"Hey, everything okay?" Wren asked looking down at me. I kept my eyes on my shoes and nodded. I didnt want to look at him, i hated him. I hated that he came over here. This was going to make things worse. Why couldnt my dad have given me an ugle bodyguard babysitter?
"Of course," Nadine grinned, beaming at him. "Bev and i were just talking about being lab partners this semester for Bio. Right Bev?" She asked. Her tone said cheerful but her face screamed violence.
"Yeah, but like I told you Nadine, I already have a lab partner." There was no way in hell i was going to be lab partners with this bitch. I would let her pick on me for the rest of my life as long as I dont have to be lab parnters with her. It'd be like having a rock as a lab partner, except the rock would probably be smarter.
"Bummer, well see you in bio Bevy." She said and turned away. "Wren are you coming?" Wow that took guts. She never even spoke to Wren. He looked up at her and then back down at me.
"Just go." I sighed and looked up at him.
"I think ill stick next to you instead. Thats my job after all." He said in a lower voice. "Im going to stop by my locker first Nadine." Always the gentleman, just tell the bitch no. He turned to me again and smirked. "Lets go."
"I dont want to go to your locker." I groaned and he chuckled.
"To bad."

We were already half way through the day and to be honest, Wren wasnt so bad. Somehow he managed to get himself into every single one of my classes and it was kind of nice. Nadine seemed to stay away when Wren was around, she was waiting until I was cornered to do somthing stupid, i could feel it.
The final bell rang and I headed towards my locker to grab my backpack. Wren appeared at my locker before I was even at it. "Hey Bev." He picked up on my nickname Laken gave to me.
"Hey ready to go?" I asked and he noded. He was going to be walking with me to where my car picked up and they were just going to drop him off at HQ.
