I was still sort of upset with Wren for the whole locker incident. I mean it wasn't his fault but he should have heard me scream. Who else would be screaming in the school. I was mad at him for more than one reason, mostly because a huge part of me still liked him more than a friend.

However, he didn't see me that way and I couldn't change that. So I moved on with my life. It was two days later and I was in a better mood today. Mostly because those two days I hadn't seen or heard from Nadine and Laken was coming home tonight with dad.

It was Friday and we were already halfway through the day. We got out for lunch in about twenty minute but until then I was sitting listening to my history teacher drone on and on about world war 2.

"Class next week we are starting our first project. Its more of a competition." He said and my head shot up. I liked competitions. "Mrs. Mosers class and ours are competing in a book making competition. You can pick any part of world war two and write a book on it and we are judging based on plot like, and the design of the book. So do well because the winner gets donuts and I'm not willing to loose." He said and some students laughed. Wren glanced at me and smiled. "You are going to be doing it in partners, and one group will be chosen as the winner and the English teachers and the principle are going to be choosing the winner. We are going to be working on it for most of the week." Good that's one class I wont have to worry about for the week.

The lunch bell rang and I shot out of my seat. I was starving. "Finally." Wren said grabbing his bookbag from underneath his desk. "Ready to go?" He asked me and I nodded. We had been eating outside since the weather was still nice.

"Yes." I smiled and followed him out of the class.  We headed towards the cafeteria and I looped my arm through his so I didn't loose him in the crowds.

"What are you doing this weekend?" He asked and I frowned.

"The charity ball is tomorrow, we are both going." I said and his mouth formed an O shape.

  "OH yeah."

"you better have your suit ready." I said and he laughed moving my arm from his and just grabbing my hand pulling me through the crowds. I felt tingles run up my arm and I think he did to because he smiled immediately.

"Ill be there don't worry." I noticed Nadine in the crowd as well. She was staring at us, more importantly our hands. Glaring at me she shoved past us. I think she was going to have a problem with that. "So homecoming?" He said and I raised an eyebrow.

  "Homecoming?" I questioned.

"Its in like three weeks are you going?" He asked and I shrugged.

   "I don't know, I'm not sure I usually don't. Mostly because I don't like anyone here."

"Well you should. It will be fun."

"No it'll be fun for you because half the school is in love with you and the rest are the guys who want to be you." I said smirking at him and he just laughed. We got in line for lunch. "Oh wait I forgot something I'll be right back." I said and he nodded. I took off heading towards my locker. My cell phone was in it and Laken was supposed to be texting me with what time him and dad were coming home tonight.

I grabbed it out my locker and ran back towards the cafeteria. I slowed to a walk coming around the corner so I didn't get yelled at. I stopped in my tracks when I saw what was happening. Nadine had taken the opportunity to sweep in my spot. She was standing next to Wren with her arm on his talking to him. He was smiling and nodding as she grinned and flirted with him.

My insides began to hurt, I felt betrayed, Wren was supposed to be mine. It hurt to see him flirting with the girl he was supposed to be keeping away from me. They had already gotten food and she was leading him over to her table full of jocks and cheerleaders. He glanced around the room before his eyes landed on me. He looked at her and shook his head before heading towards me, because that was his job. he wasn't actually my friend, he didn't like me, he got paid to hang out with me.

I pretended like I didn't see him and headed for the lunch line. They were have spegetti today, which didn't look good at all but it was the only option. "Beverly." Wren said walking towards me.

"Yes/" I asked my words, short and curt.

"Beverly let me explain, your mad." Wren said following me. I rolled my eyes and sighed.

"I'm not mad at you Wren, I'm mad at myself." I explained. it was true, I couldn't be mad at him he was just a pawn in my fathers plan to keep me safe.

"Well that doesn't make sense." He said and I grabbed a try and smiled at the lunch lady.

"Thank you." I said softly as she gave me a smile in return. I turned to leave the lunch station. I guess I didn't see Nadine because suddenly she was right in front of me. Well not exactly, she 'tripped' and fell right into me, her hand flipping my tray up sending my spaghetti all over me.

Steaming hot spaghetti flew all over my face and then down onto my white top. My entire body froze and my hands shot up in front of me. I had my mouth hanging open I was trying not to freak out.

"Oh my god, I'm sooo sorry Bevy." Nadine purred as she stood up straight. "Here let me help you." She said and smeared the food all down my top. "There you look so much better, consider it a makeover." She smirked, glancing behind me at a frozen Wren.

"You bitch." I snapped finally. Her eyes lit up like she was ready for a fight.

"What did you just call me?" She smirked.

"You, motherfucking bitch!" I screamed and turned around grabbing wrens tray out of his hands.

"Beverly, I don't-" He began but I shot him a glare and he shut up.

I turned back to the oh so Innocent Nadine and slammed the tray into her face letting the food cover her as well. Everyone was watching us in shock and awe as I covered the 'it' girl head to toe in everything on the tray. I used the milk chug and poured it over her head as she screamed and tried to push me out of the way.

"You stupid cow, I cannot believe you just did that on purpose!" She screeched as the teacher jumped into action.

"Stay the fuck out of my way! Next time you try something I swear to god I will beat your ass!" I screamed at her and stormed out of the building. I was going home I don't care if I had to walk.

"Beverly, wait!" Wren yelled at me chasing me out of the building. I turned the corner of the school and sat against the school.

I began crying hysterically, I hated her, I hated high school I wanted to go home. I didn't want to see Wren I didn't want to go back to school I didn't want to go to the ball tomorrow.  "Beverly." Wren yelled once he was out the doors. I cried into my sleeve and tried wiping the food off my face. taking my glasses off and throwing them on the ground.

Wren turned the corner to find me sobbing in the grass. "Beverly, I'm- god I'm so"

"Just stop!" I yelled holding my hands up. "You haven't done anything but make things worse for me, you were supposed to keep her away from me you were supposed to make this school year liveable and you have made it worse!" I yelled getting to my feet. "I hate you Wren Morris!" I screamed and shoved past him, ready to walk home if I had to.

"Beverly, I didn't." He grabbed my arm and turned me around. "I didn't mean to look I'm sorry okay I didn't know she was going to-"

"Just get out of my life okay!" I yelled again shoving him to the ground. I turned away and took off running. Everything hurt, my head, my heart and my body. The sauce that was all over my body burned and stung so my skin was red and blotchy now and I looked like  a hot mess.

MY phone dinged in my pocket and I took it out to see a text message from Laken.

He was home finally. I wiped the tears away from my eyes and hit the call button.  "Hey Beverly everything okay?" Laken asked since I was calling in the middle of school.

"C- can you come p-pick me up?" I said through sobs.

"Shit yeah, ill be therein a minute." He said and hung up.
