I stood in front of the mirror staring at myself. First day of Junior Year and I wasnt ready. I didnt want to be the same fake ass nerd that I have been for the past two years. I wanted things to change this year. I wanted people to know me, the real me. But that wasnt going to happen. WHich is why I only have like two friends.

My long blonde hair was pulled into a messy bun on top of my head and I was wearing a sundress that was a light blue which matched my tan skin. I was pretty in my own way, but girls were mean and they could see that if I didnt wear big fake glasses or barley speak then i would be super popular. So i got humilated on a daily basis. Laken didnt make things any better.

Naturally Laken was the Football Star and everybody loved him. He even had a girlfriend who was completly oblivious to his actual life, but used him for arm candy to up her populatriy levels.

"Beverly we are going to be late if you dont get your ass down here!" Laken shouted up the stairs to my room. I groaned and accepted my appearance as I headed downstairs grabbing my backpack.

Laken and I drove the same car to school, well our driver drove us and dropped us off and the same car picked us up. He was dropped off in the front and I was taken a block away and dropped off there so that i wasnt walking in with him.

I sat in the car staring out the window with a bad feeling in my stomach. "Laken I dont want to go back like last year." I groaned and he nodded.

"Its not so bad Bev." He said and I glared at him.

"For you, your the head of the school, im the bottom." He shrugged.

"Its jsut high school Bev, everything will end in a year and youll be an agent and everything will change." The car came to a stop in front of the school and he looked at me and smiled. "Now put on a good face. You know why we do this. Its important that you stay safe."

"You can say that because people think your in a gang and no one messes with you."

"Well if people knew who you were that would make you an easy target for Dads enemies." Damn i hated that he was right. "Now, glasses?" He asked and I groaned again pulling them out of my bag.

MY big, fake, black rimmed glasses like taylor swift wore in that stupid music video. Except they looked awful on me. I put them on and pushed them up at my nose as Laken smiled and poked my cheek. "It'll be okay Bev, things will be different this year. Trust me." I just sighed and he got out of the car.

I watched him walk up to the school and get instantly greeted by a hundred different people, all the cheerleaders and half the football team.  "ready to go Ms. Wilson?" Charles, our driver said and I nodded.

He took me a block away from the school and came to a stop. "I'll see ya later charles." I said and he hummed. I got out of the car and pulled my backpack on. I watched the car pull away and took a giant sigh. Heres to nothing.

I closed my locker and glanced at my schedule tilting my head. I had biology first period which I hated. I always got low marks in biology and I couldn't stand science. I never got less than an A though, father would kill me if my grades weren't perfect.

The bell signaled the beginning of first period and I was officially late. Great. "Okay, lets go." I muttered to myself as I headed down the hall to first period. I turned the corner and ran directly into Nadine Fosters.

I hit her and books went flying as she screamed. "Oh my god!" She screeched. I rolled my eyes and bent down to begin picking up my books. Did I mention that I was often picked on in high school? Well Nadine happened to be the main reason for that. Ever since I was younger Nadine had it out for me. She made my life a living hell. "Smeverly you ass!" Her eyes met mine as I stared at her with a blank face.
