Bridget's POV
I am with Sam at the airport right now waiting for his plane to come. Gilinsky and JJ ran off to get some food so it was just Sam and I.
"So what are you going to tonight? A fashion show?" he asked me confused
"Yeah sort of. And you like walk around and talk to different designers and stuff. My mom is really into that stuff." I explained shrugging. His plane was called and we both stood up. He pulled me into a hug and kissed the top of my head.
"Please be safe and don't do anything stupid. I do not want any calls at three o clock in the morning that you are in the hospital or something." I joked with him. He chuckled and kissed my forehead.
"Don't worry we will be fine. I love you Bridge." he said giving me a long kiss
"I love you too Sammy. Text me when you land. And have fun!" I called after him. I watched them all board the plane and then I left.
I got home about an hour later and I hopped into the shower. I blow dried my hair and picked out an outfit to wear tonight.
I decided on wearing a red lace dress, black belt, black tights, and black heels. I put on my gold watch and gold dangly earrings. I looked outside and it started to rain so I just decided on putting my hair up in a sock bun. I applied some foundation, blush, eyeshadow, top eyeliner, mascara, and lip gloss.
I walked downstairs to see Lexi dressed in a nice black dress with nude heels.
"Oo I love that dress! I might be borrowing it sometime." she exclaimed
"Whatever just remember to ask ok? Are we ready to go?" I asked her
"Yupp Dad is on a work call but he knows we are leaving." she said. I grabbed a big umbrella for the both of us and we walked out to the car. We are meeting our mom there.
"So what is the deal with you and Ben?" I asked her
"We have been hanging out a lot and on a few dates. But he hasn't asked me out yet." she explained
"Do you think he ever will?" I asked
"I hope so. I hope this thing tonight is fun. Remember the last one we went to?" she asked laughing
"Yeah that creepy old guy kept hitting on us and asking if we wanted any whiskey. We vowed never again to come to one of these things and yet here we are." I said as Lexi pulled into the parking lot.
Our mom was standing out front in a pretty purple dress.
"Oh you girls look gorgeous! Stunning!" my mom exclaimed giving both of us a hug
"And what about you? You look like a hot sexy mama!" I said laughing. We linked arms with our mom and walked inside. First is the fashion show so we sat towards the front and watched as the models went down the runway. Most of them were in dresses that were really cute. After that is the long cocktail party.
"Will you be buying anything from that collection this year?" Lexi asked my mom
"I really liked a couple of those sundresses for summer so maybe." she replied
"I just want to thank you girls again for coming with me tonight. I know we don't get to spend that much time together anymore and I am really sorry about that. But I promise to be around more often." she said
"It's ok Mom we both know that you are trying." I said giving her a hug
"You guys are so grown up now. You will be in your senior year of college next year and you will be a freshman in college at that big writing school. You guys grew up so fast. I miss the days when you guys were just my little babies." she said starting to tear up
"Mom we will always be your little babies no matter how old we are." Lexi said.
We stayed for a little bit more and then it was ten o clock so we decided on leaving.
"Alright girls how about we go to the spa next weekend? I have a giftcard." she said excitedly. We agreed and we kissed her goodbye before getting into our car.
"Do you think her and Todd are having problems?" Lexi asked me after a few minutes
"Maybe she does seem sort of off and she always does things with him on weekends too." I said
"Well I was over their house like three days ago and when I walked up to the door they were fighting. I don't know about what but it was a full on screaming match." Lexi said shaking her head
"Well if mom isn't happy she should get out of there." I added
"Maybe she doesn't know how." Lexi said as we stopped at a red light. The rain was coming down very hard now. It was making things hard to see. All of a sudden I saw a pair of bright lights heading in our direction.
"Lexi!" I screamed before everything went black.
