Bridget's POV
Well today I go back to hell. Today is the first day back from Christmas Vacation. I woke up at my normal time and changed into black leggins, a dark pink sweater, and brown uggs. I don't really like makeup so I put on some foundation blush, eyeshadow, mascara, and lip gloss. I threw my hair into a messy side braid and took a look in the mirror. Well this is the best this is going to get.
I walked downstairs and saw my Dad already left for work. I grabbed myself a water and some toast and I hopped into my car and left. I guess I should tell you more about myself. I have lived in Omaha all my life. My mom is a third grade teacher at this private school and my dad is an author. I have an older sister Lexi who is in her junior year at The University of Arizona. She is studying to be a nurse. My parents got divorced two years ago and I live with my Dad because I don't like my mom's new husband. I still see my mom a lot though.
I am in my senior year of highschool. I am popular in my own friend group but I am not in the popular group. I hate the popular group. I have a best friend named Jenny and a couple close friends. I pulled into my normal parking spot and got out. I grabbed my bookbag and walked into school. I saw the populars standing in their normal group and I am already annoyed. I sure didn't miss them this past two weeks.
I walked over to my locker and started getting my things that I need for my first couple classes.
"Hey Bridge I love your sweater!" Jenny said gretting me. She was always perky at any time during the day.
"Thanks. My parents got it for me for Christmas." I said smiling
"So Tess is sick with a really bad cold so she won't be coming in today but I know Angela is around here somewhere." she said looking around. The homeroom bell ran and we both began to walk to homeroom. I wasn't paying attention when I collided with someone. Both of our books dropped and I sighed and I helped the person pick them up. I stood up to see I had bumped into of course Sam Wilkinson the biggest douche in school. I mean he is really attractive but I herd he screws every girl over.
"I think these are yours." he said giving me his charming smile that works on all girls but not on me. I took my books and ignored him and kept walking.
"Hey you could say sorry you know!" he yelled after me but I just kept ignoring him. My first period is Marketing. I was trying to look for my homework but I couldn't find it anywhere.
"Looking for this?" a familar voice said in front of me. I went to grab it but he moved his hand away.
"You can only get it if you say sorry for running into me this morning." he said smirking
"And why would I say that? It wasn't even my fault." I said crossing my arms over my chest
"Oh so she talks. And sorry I guess it was my bad I was distracted by your ass. It looks really good in those leggins by the way." he said smiling. I could hear his isiot friends snickering in the back.
"Mr Wilkinson if you are done flirting with Bridget I would like to start class." Our teacher Mr. Murphey said. Both Sam and my face got really red and he handed me back my homework. My morning went by pretty fast and now I am sitting at my normal lunch table with Jenny, and Angela.
"Oh my god I herd Sam Wilkinson was flirting with you first period today!" Angela squealed
"It was more like he was trying too. That guy thinks he can get any girl he wants." I said rolling my eyes
"You are seriously going to reject the Sam Wilkinson if he asks you out?" Jenny said putting emphasis on his name
"Yes I am. I have been in a lot of his classes since the seventh grade and he picks senior year to start talking to me. I don't think so." I said getting up and throwing my trash away.
My next period is Computer class which is pretty much a joke. I took my normal seat but then Sam Wilkinson came and sat next to me.
"Some people would call this stalking." I said giving him a look
"How is it stalking if we have had these classes together all year?" he asked smiling
"You are really annoying I hope you know that." I said logging onto the computer to do my assignment
"Yeah so I have been told. So will you come to my basketball game on friday night?" he asked looking at me and logging onto his computer
"Why would I want to do that? I don't like you." I told him
"Because ever since I ran into you this morning I got a 99 on my Calc test and I got an 100 on my science report. It is like you are my good luck charm or something." he said smirking
"Sorry I don't like sports." I said shrugging my shoulders
"Who doesn't like sports?" he asked confused
"Obviously me. Who are you guys playing Friday night?"
"If you don't like sports why would you care who we are playing?"
"Can't I just be curious?" I said looking at him. Wow he does have really pretty eyes and the kind of hair you just want to run your hands through. Stop it Bridget he is an asshole.
"Sure. We are playing Prep our rivals. We are both undefeated." he said
"Well too bad I won't be there." I said as the bell rang
"One game won't hurt you." he said running up next to me
"It might kill me." I said smirking at him
"You're cute when you smirk." he said. I tried to hide my blush by looking down.
"And you are creepy." I said stopping outside my math class.
"Don't you have to go talk to some blonde bimbo and get her to sleep with you or something?"
"Ha cute. Please come to my game on Friday?" he asked
"I rather pluck my eyeballs out." I said smirking at him and walking into my Calc class. Everybody was giving me looks but I don't care.
Sam's POV
I walked into lunch feeling confused. I don't get it. Every girl in this school is practically drooling over me and my firends. How come Bridget isn't? I sat down at my usual table.
"What do you guys know about Bridget Dehaven?" I asked not even saying hello
"Um we have gone to school with her for the last couple years. I did a spanish project with her last year she is nice. Why?" Jack Johnson asked me
"I ran into her today and I can't stop thinking about her. I didn't really notice her until today but I guess I am just curious." I said opening up my lunch
"Well I know she is popular in her group of friends but I herd she doesn't go out to the parties." Jack Gilinsky told me
"Well I have been trying to get her to come to our game on friday night but she won't. She said she doesn't like sports." I said rolling my eyes
"Well she lied to you then because her dad is that famous author and he loves sports. He used to take her and her older sister Lexi to football, soccer, basketball, and baseball games all the time. And her favorite sport is basketball." Mack explained to me
"Then why would she lie?" I asked confused
"Maybe because you do have the reputation of being the biggest douche in the school." Mike said laughing
"Oh shut up you asshole." I said
There has got to be a way to get her to like me and I am going to find out.
