Bridget's POV
I am home on Christmas break for a while. I have been dating this new boy Jake for two months now. He is really sweet and funny but to be honest he isn't Sam. Andrea came home with me for Christmas break because her parents are out of town.
"So there is a party tonight, do you want to go?" I asked Andrea one morning at breakfast
"Sure who's is it?" she asked cleaning up her dishes
"My good friend Jack Johnson's." I replied turning the dishwasher on
The doorbell rang and I went to go answer it.
"Jenny!" I exclaimed tackling her into a hug
"Hi best friend!" she said hugging me back
"I've missed you a lot." I said closing the door behind her
"I know I have missed you too. Hey Andrea it is so good to finally meet you." Jenny said hugging Andrea
"I know it is." Andrea replied
We caught up with Jenny for a while but she had to go have lunch with her siblings but she is going to meet us at the party tonight.
"Guess who?" a voice asked from behind
"Lexi!" I exclaimed pulling her in for a hug
"Hey beedge. How is college?" she asked plopping down on the couch next to me
"It is good. I love it so far. How is your senior year going?" I asked
"Really well I am having fun too. Where is Andrea?" she asked confused
"Taking a shower we are going to Jack J's party tonight." I explained to her
"That's fun. I know they all miss you." she said smiling
"Oh and excuse me who is this Jake you are dating now?" she asked smiling
"Oh um he is nice and funny." I said shrugging
"Bridge I know that look. Do you even like him?" she asked confused
"I don't even know ok? I don't want to talk about it. I have to go get ready for the party." I said getting up and going upstairs to my room
"We arn't done talking about this!" she yelled up
After Andrea came out of the shower I quickly hopped in and got one. I blow dried my hair and straightened it and parted it to the side. My hair is back to being blonde but it is a lighter blonde than before. I put on black skinny capri pants that have white polka dots on them, a light blue button up shirt, and red velvet oxfords. I applied foundation, blush, eyeshadow, top eyeliner, mascara, and red lipstick. That has been my thing where I wear red lipstick a lot now.
Andrea stepped out of the bathroom and she looked awesome. She was wearing light skinny jeans, black combat boots, a black sweater that says pow all over it in yellow, and a black snapback. Her hair was straight and she had on foundation, smokey eyeshadow, top and bottom eyeliner, and lip gloss.
"Wow you look pretty." I told her grabbing my phone and sticking it in my purse
"Thanks so do you. Are you ready to go?" she asked smiling. I smiled and nodded and I told my Dad we were leaving. We arrived at JJ's house five minutes later. I parked my car in the grass because it was already really crowded. We walked inside and it looked like your typical college party.
"Hey Bridget!" JJ exclaimed pulling me in for a hug
"Hi I miss you!" I said hugging back
"I know I miss you too, glad you could come." he said smiling
"Yeah me too. This is my friend Andrea by the way. Andrea this is Jack Johnson." I said introducing the two of them
"It is nice to meet you. I love your guys vines and music by the way." she said blushing
"Thanks that means a lot." he said
"Well beer and drinks and food is in the kitchen. Jenny, Luke, and Gilinsky are all around here somewhere." he explained
"Is Mallory here?" I asked
"Yeah but her and I broke up because of the distance. We are still good friends though." he said shrugging
"Aw I'm sorry bud I knew how much you liked her." I said ruffling his hair
"It's ok I'm over it." he said leading us into the kitchen. Where I greeted Jenny, Gilinsky, and Luke. I was answering Jack G's questions about college when I saw him. He was wearing light denim jeans, a long sleeve grey shirt, and black vans. His hair was up in it's usual fashion and he looked really good.
"Hey Sam." I greeted him
"Hey Bridget. How have you been?" he asked pulling me in for a awkward hug
"Good how about yourself?" I asked taking a sip of my beer
"Good. You look different, a good different." he said looking me up and down
"Well my hair is a lighter blonde now and I do have a nose ring." I hinted at
"Well you look great. How is college treating you?" he asked downing the rest of his beer
"Really well. How about for you?" I asked looking around for my friends but of course they left me alone with Sam
"Really good. My classes have been great and basketball has been awesome." he said getting himself another beer
"Cool. Yeah I saw in the paper that you guys are undefeated, that is great." I said downing the rest of my beer
"Yeah first time in a while." he said. Great more awkwardness
"Look Sam I know we had a bad breakup but that doesn't mean we still can't be friends right?" I asked
"Yeah of course I would like that. The past is in the past." he said smirking. God I have missed him I thought.
"Cool so do you want to go join the rest of the group?" I asked. He smiled and I followed him over to where everybody else is.
We were all just talking with eachother for a while and laughing. It felt good to be with my friends again and Andrea fit right in.
"Um Bridget did you invtie Jake?" Andrea asked confused
"No why? He said he was going back to Jersey to see his family and friends." I said looking at her
"Well he is here, turn around." she said nodding her head behind me. I turned around and sure enough there was Jake. Everybody stiffened around me and tension filled the air.
"Hey babe." he said pecking my lips and pulling me into his side
"Hey what are you doing here? I thought you were in Jersey all of break?" I asked confused
"Well I was but I missed you too much." he said kissing my cheek
"Arn't you happy that I am here?" he asked confused
"Of couse." I said smiling up at him weakly. I looked over at Sammy who was just shaking his head and walking away. Gilinsky gave me a look before he went after Sam. This is not good I thought.
