Bridget's POV

Today is my first day back to school since the accident. My concussion is fully healed now but I am on crutches because of my ankle. It is so swollen it looks like a purple and blue watermelon.

"You know you move fast on those things." Sammy told me chuckling as he was trying to keep up

"I've had a lot of practice and besides arn't you supposed to be in shape? You do play basketball right?" I asked teasing him

"There is that sense of humor that I just love so much." he said sarcastically laughing

Sam helped me into first period and the teacher let him sit next to me since he insists on carrying my books for me.

The day has surprisingly been going by pretty fast and everybody is being nicer to me than usual. I feel like everybody is afraid to touch me or I might break even more.

"Ok let me get your meds out of your bag. Your parents told us you get one pain killer for your ribs and a tylenol for your ankle and headache you might have." Jenny said going over her orders in her head

After I took my pills and ate Jenny helped me to my next class. We were a little early so we were waiting outside the room for a little bit.

"You know when I got the call you had been in an accident I thought I lost my best friend for sure. I was so scared I didn't know what to do." she said starting to tear up. I pulled her in for a hug.

"No matter what happens to either of us I am not going anywhere ok?" I asked her. She nodded her head

The rest of the day went by fast and now I am waiting after school for SAm to be done practice because he is my ride home.

"Is it fun being crippled?" Erin snickered behind me

"No not really. I guess the only fun part is getting to hit people with your crutches." I said smirking up at her

"Watch it blondie." she said sitting down next to me

"At least I'm not a fake blonde." I said rolling my eyes and taking out my phone

"So where are your minons today anyway?  Got tired of you already?" I asked not really caring

"No they are both at home sick with food poising. I am just waiting for Jake to be done practice so we can leave. I'm assuming you are waiting for Sam." she said getting her phone out as well

"Ok this weird but I need to ask your advice on something. Jake and I's two month anniversary is coming up and I need to know what to do for him. So what would your ideal date be?" she asked

"Watching you get hit by a bus." I said sarcastically lightly smiling at her

"Ha funny. Come on I am being serious." she said lightly hitting me

"I guess dinner and maybe a romantic walk? I don't know every couple is different." I said putting my phone away

"Well how do you and Sam make it look so easy?"

"I don't know I guess we just get eachother and love eachother." I said shrugging

"You guys are like best friends but you guys are also in love. I hope to somebody have a relationship like that. Cya later Bridget." she said before walking off

"Hey ready to go?" Sam asked me helping me up

"What is up with that weird look on your face?" he asked chuckling as we made our way out the door

"Erin just gave me a compliment." I said still shocked

"Wow is it opposite day or something?" he asked smiling

"You can be really annoying sometimes you know that." I said laughing and swinging my crutch at his leg playfully

"Hey be careful with those. You know you shouldn't really have those. You use them as weapons." he said helping me into the car

"Keep up your sarcastic tone and my next victim will be you." I said smiling over at me. He smiled and leaned in and kissed me

"What was that for?" I asked blushing

"Just because." he said turning up the radio as we drove off

He pulled up to my house a few mintues later. He helped me out of the car and grabbed my stuff and walked me up to my front door.

I turned to him and smiled and kissed him long and hard. I pulled away smiling and kissed him on the cheek.

"What was that for?" he asked smiling wide

"Just because I love you." I said shrugging happily
