Bridget's POV
Sam and I are going on a date in a few hours but right now Lexi, Andrea, My mom, Jenny, and I are all doing Zumba.
"Guys why are we so bad?" I asked laughing
"I don't know. Bridge you and I can dance why can't we do this?" Lexi asked laughing too
I stopped to get my phone and videotape this. I got my mom falling over and everybody loosing it and cracking up.
"Ow that really hurt." my mom said laughing and getting up and sitting on the couch
"Never doing Zumba again." Andrea said giving us all a water bottle
"Why is it so hard?" Jenny asked out of breath
"Jenny it is made for people in shape. We all arn't in shape." I said giggling
"Next time lets just stick with yoga." Lexi said smiling
For the rest of the afternoon we just talked and watched a movie. I just got out of the shower. I straightened my hair and pulled it up into a ponytail. I applied foundation, eyeshadow, mascara, and chapstick. I put on black skinny jeans, black ankle boots, a maroon sweater, black leather jacket, and a grey scarf. I put on my aviators and grabbed my phone and put it in my oversized black purse.
"Andrea where are you going tonight?" I asked confused seeing her all dressed up
"Well Sam's friend Mike asked me out on a date tonight and I said yes." she squealed smiling
"Big Mike? That is adorable." I said
"Come here I want to take a picture before you go." she said grabbing my arm and snapping a picture
"Go have fun with Sam. Jenny and I want all the details later." she said nudging me. I walked outside to my car and drove over to his house. I texted him that I am here and he came out two minutes later. He was wearing a green sweatshirt, khacki pants, grey vans, and his watch that he always wears. His hair was also in it's normal fashion.
"Hey you look great." he said sliding into the car
"Thanks you don't look too bad yourself. So what are we doing?" I asked
"Please drive to the middle of the town square and I will take it from there." he said winking
"You think you are so slick with your surprises." I mumbled
"Herd that babe." he said smirking at me
I rolled my eyes playfully and turned up the radio. She Will Be Loved came on and I started singing along and so did Sam.
"You have a terrible voice." I said laughing
"Yours is not any better." he said acting hurt. I acted shocked and playfully hit him
"You can't hit me back number one I am a girl and number two I am driving." I said laughing as I parked in a parking space
"Ok so you know how the town is all decorated for Christmas time? Well I thought we could go on our own personal carriage ride today." he said smiling proudly
"That sounds amazing." I said smiling as we got into the carriage
"You know we have lived here our whole lives and I have never been around to see it set up like this." I said amazed
"I know. I just never took the time to walk around and see it like this at Christmas time." he said looking around. A light wind blew and I shivered a little bit.
"Cold?" he asked
"Just a little, but it is ok." I said shrugging
He smiled and moved closer to me and wrapped his arm around my shoulder and pulled me into his chest. We stayed like that for the rest of the ride just taking in the town. We went through the park but stopped at the very end where a table was set up.
"I thought we could have dinner here." he said helping me out of the carriage
"What are we eating?" I asked as we sat down
"Well I have sparkling apple juice, turkey hoagies, fruit salad, and hot chocolate." he said smiling
"You're lucky I love all those things." I said smiling back
"So what is it like living in Chicago?" he asked curiously
"A lot of fun. At first I was thinking it was a boring city but it is actually really cool. There is a lot to do." I explained
"What kind of stuff can you do?" he asked
"You can go to museums, concerts, restaurants, stores, they have a lot of stuff." I said
"Is college basketball everything you ever wanted?" I asked pouring us both some hot chocolate
"Yeah it actually is. I mean it is very intense but it is awesome. I mean I dreamed of starting as a freshman in college but I never thought it would happen." he said shaking his head in amazement
"Well you are really good so you deserve it." I said resting my hand on top of his
"I actually have some news." I said biting my lip
"What is it?"
"I have been working on a story for quite a long time now and it is getting published." I said smiling
"What?! That is amazing! Congratulations!" he said grabbing my hand
"Thanks you are the first person to know so please keep it quiet till I tell everybody else."
"Of course. What is it about?" he asked
"It is about a story of a girl who is adopted and is trying to find her place in the world. She wants to be an actress but she faces struggles. She is trying to find a boyfriend and fit in in California. She wants to know about her real parents too." I explained to him
"Well that sounds amazing. Does it have a title?" he asked
"Yeah it is called Finding Taylor." I said smiling
"Well I am really proud of you. I am going to buy it as soon as it comes out." he said
"Thank you and thank you for this amazing date." I said smiling at him
"Can I take you out on another?" he asked
"Of couse. Come here." I said grabbing his hand and pulling him close to me. I kissed him long and hard. I felt my stomach do flips like it did the first time I kissed him
"I missed your kisses." I said resting my forehead against his
"I missed you." he said kissing my nose
