Goodbye

Jake's POV
Erika and I were having an amazing time at prom. We had just been crowned prom king and prom queen. Erika told me she was going to hang out with Tessa for a little bit. I walked over to the food and drink table and grabbed us some punch, when I get a notification that Erika's heart rate was really high.

I drop the punch and go looking for her. I looked everywhere for her and I cant find her anywhere.

I was walking back to the gym when I hear faint cries coming from the bathroom. I open the door slightly when I see a bloody and shaking Erika. I run up to her a pull her into a hug. She turns a burrows her head in my chest. She starts shaking profoundly and my phone starts blowing up with notifications that her heart was beating 10 times to fast. I try and calm her down but its not working. She then stops crying suddenly and passes out.

Erika's POV
I had just gone to the bathroom and I walk out. I feel someone coming behind me but before I have time to turn around I feel a hand on my mouth and another one of my eyes. I was brought into another room and they dropped me on the floor.

Then they started kicking and punching me. This lasted for about 10 minutes. The took all my valuables including my phone, necklace, earrings, bracelet, and my rings. They then left.

I just started crying faintly which turned into a panic attack. I wanted to find Jake but I couldn't move.

I heard the door open, they were back already? I then feel someone embrace me. I could tell it was Jake right away. I burrow my head in his chest and start sobbing. Jake tried to calm me down but it wasn't working. My chest started hurting and I could no longer cry. Then the last thing I remember is pitch black.

Jake's POV
I called 911 and picked Erika up. As I was walking out with Erika in my arms a crowd of people surrounded us. They were all asking dumb questions and I was done with it.

J: ERIKA IS HURT. PLEASE MOVE OUT OF MY WAY UNLESS YOU WANT TO ME TO HURT YOU WHEN I GET BACK!!

The crowd move out of the way. As I got outside I saw the paramedics running towards the building with a stretcher. I placed Erika in the stretcher and told the paramedics what happened. The told me to hop in the ambulance. I got in and we sped to the hospital. I was told to sit in the waiting room.

4 Hours later

That was the longest 4 hours of my life. The doctor had just called me back and told me he had some news for me.

I walked to the back and saw the doctor outside of Erika's room. I walked up to him.

D: Hey Jake I have some good and bad news. First the bad news. Erika has lung and heart failure. She is on life support at the moment. Apparently someone hit her lun collapsing it on impact. The good news is we found a ling and heart donors. The only problem is that the organs are 4 hours away and we don't think Erika has that much time left.
J: So your saying she is going to die?
D: We want to do everything we can. But in this case we are going to try our best. We well get her prepped for surgery so when the organs get hear we can start immediately.
J: What can I do?
D: At the moment she isn't conscious so nothing much but you can go see her if you like.
J: Thank you
D: Its my job.

I walked into the room and I see Erika hocked up to hundreds on hundreds of wires.

J: Erika, I know you might not be able to hear me but if you can I want you to know that you are the love of my life. If you don't want to be here anymore you can go. Just know if you do I will support you decision. Also I want you to know I will never love anyone as much as I love you. Goodbye.

With that I gave her a kiss and walked out of the room.
