Chapter 18: Saving Family

Dominick's POV

Me and Xylia went back to get Demeanor in order to confront the Queen. The Queen's name was apparently Grace..... Ironic considering her gracing nature as Queen. [Xylia]"So Nicky, stay by me, the Queen said she was quite eager to meet you." [Dominick]"Yeah? Why didn't we bring Ivan?" Xylia and Demeanor exchanged looks. [Xylia]"Um... We can't give Ivan any ideas. Grace also doesn't want to meet him. Can't argue with the Queen. She is my Queen now, so I must obey, Even if I didn't intent to." [Demeanor]"Yeah, it is an honor to meet the Queen, very Iron ruling though. Not as fun as mother but she is still the queen sooooo.... yeah." I rolled my eyes. [Dominick]"So I assume she isn't trying to hide from people? I heard a lot from what my Dad told me." [Xylia]"Yeah, Something like that Mate."

Xylia then starts purring. [Demeanor]"Wow Dominick, I guess you make Xylia really happy. Xenos refuse to let themselves purr in front of a human. They do not want them to know about our sappy side."

I hold onto Xylia tighter. [Dominick]"She's my girl.... Of course I make her happy, and she makes me happy." I then kiss the back of her neck. Xylia of course purrs loader, [Xylia]"Um... Well I, what do you think the Queen will think?" [Dominick]"She will be deeply happy that I made you so happy. She is your Legal Guardian, or...Sister slash step-mother... something along those lines." [Demeanor]"True... I kinda wish Conceal could be with us." I angrily look at Demeanor. [Dominick]"Hey! Don't make the moment sad! It is what she wanted!" Demeanor nodded.

We reached the Hive, Several Xenomorph came out and inspected us. What's wrong with two Xenomorph that are family with one that has a human on the one's back? [Zen]"so you three are Xylia, Demeanor and the Human.... argh Dominick?" [Xylia]"That's us." [Zen]"My comrades will assist you to your Sibling the Queen. You know Xylia and Demeanor, you two as well as Ivan, Sapling and Conceal are kinda a big deal here being siblings of the Queen. Being the elder generation." [Demeanor]"it is fine I guess, The Queen's Queen would have preferred Grace as Queen before anyone else still alive." [Zen]"The Queen's name......We aren't allowed to say it, I'm sure she won't mind it from her siblings?"

The Xenomorph led us straight to the Queen's chamber. [Zen]"This is your stop, good luck." Me, Xylia and Demeanor stood before Grace, She looked like a normal Queen to me. I looked to my left and right and realized that Xylia and Demeanor were kneeling showing respect. I quickly adopted a kneel. [Grace]"I'm surprised you of all people Dominick would show respect for a "Bug". You three may stop now. I'll have Sapling out shortly." we stood up, I looked at Xylia. [Xylia]"Yes... I'll do the talking I guess."

We looked behind us and saw Sapling. [Demeanor]"Hey Sapling, it has been too long!" the two greeted each other. She then looked at me. [Sapling]"Oh? So I see after all these years you retain your strong connection to the hive. It's nice to see you I guess...... I missed that hamster T-Shirt you used to wear." she snickered.

[Grace]"Of course, tell me the story behind Dominick? I heard he just stumbled across you three? And is now Mates with Xylia? At such a young age too." [Xylia]"If I may, He felt bad for me and I guess I also felt bad for him, He hasn't done anything but help us. His father killed our Mother though..... He never told him about us." The queen looked at me. [Grace]"How did Xylia give you your connection?" I took a deep breath, looked at Xylia then looked back.

[Dominick]"Well you see, me and my friends were walking down the Yellow brick road." [Cymon]"Wrong lines Dominick, how did you even get those?" [Dominick]"Oops, I meant to say. Sapling and Xylia did some weird mumbo jumbo to your mother's corpse, and somehow connected me to the hive. Ivan explained it more to me." [Cymon]"Sorry guys... Couldn't resist that joke there. Back to the story."

[Grace]"I'll have some words with Sapling.... Praetorian mind you say? No question you did it." Sapling lowers her head. [Xylia]"We all understand that Dominick is connected to the hive and even is my partner. What is your take on things.... do we have your blessing or whatever?" She looked at me. [Grace]"I can see into his heart, he truly sees us as family, no selfish reasons. But, he also feels very.... sad about his own family and finds you Xylia as something to cover his sadness. He will be welcomed here IF he can help us take down Carlson."

I looked at Grace with a worried look concerning the whole "Defeating Carlson" thing. [Grace]"I trust you can do it Dominick, do it for both of your family's... I have seen something awful through Conceal, Carlson has done something really bad." [Dominick]"What do you mean!" Xylia holds onto my hand.

[Grace]"She escaped Carlson, my sister is very slippery I must say, she eavesdropped the conversation between your father and Carlson. He had that Bad blood Predator go after you to learn my Location, didn't work. Carlson is responsible for the Predator. He has Your Sister, her Mate and her unborn child hostage, He is currently trying to convince your father to use you as a "Commander" for future weaponized Xenomorph. I can help you stop them provided you remove our species from records." I was shocked at the news. [Dominick]"My family is in trouble!" [Grace]"Both are, you can change this!"

I started freaking out, luckily Xylia was holding onto me which calmed me down. [Demeanor]"That son of a Cow Carlson! Can we not just have the whole Hive charge in on Carlson and kill him, maybe the town while we are at it?" [Dominick]"Maybe not the whole town, but at least the government will try and cover up what happened here."

[Grace]"Is granted. I'll send a group of my children to aid you. Sapling, you command them, I have come to forgiving you for your ignorance of me being Queen and trying to become one, and I trust you have things under control then. Dominick, I have trust you can pull this off, infiltrate Carlson's labs." I thought a moment. [Dominick]"Well, my dad clearly doesn't like Carlson anymore, but he is still on the inside! I can contact him! Me and Xylia can get him to work out." [Grace]"You four are dismissed from here, do what you can."

Me, Xylia, Demeanor and Sapling along with Zen and a few other Xenomorphs exited the Hive. [Dominick]"Let me take a call to my dad!" I got out my phone and started calling my Dad, [Dominick]"Dad?" My Dad picked up, [Rodger]"Dominick! Why are you calling me? I think you should wait until I get home to talk." I needed to somehow tell him that I knew what was going on without Carlson finding out. [Dominick]"Well.... I have a small something to tell you. Um, I can't find Larson, he has Concealed himself and isn't where everyone thinks he is. But I was thinking of agreeing to what you were talking about..... I overheard Mary talking about the Predator, she was worried it would try going after her family on an odd chance....... Do you get that?" My dad waited a moment. [Rodger]"Loud and clear I guess, we can find Larson when we get home.... let's hope Mary is wrong about what she said." he chuckles.

He hung up. [Dominick]"Ok. My dad knows Conceal escaped and that I have a plan." [Xylia]"How? You didn't even say anything close to that." [Dominick]"It's called being cryptic. It means you say something that only you and someone you're being cryptic too would understand. To everyone else, they would never suspect what we are really talking about. It's another one of those sneaky secret out loud things without others hearing even though they heard stuff things." [Xylia]"Right. let's go, Your dad will want to see you Immediately for further planning."

Rodger's POV

I got off the phone. [Carlson]"Who was that from? Dominick?" I angrily looked back at him. [Rodger]"Yeah, I think I have made my decision... As long as you free Edith and her family you can have Dominick!" [Edith]"Dad. NO!!!!!!" [Rodger]"Shut up Edith, let your dad handle this." I gave her a wink when Carlson wasn't looking. She knew I had a plan.

[Carlson]"Bad Blood! Send our good friends... not Rodger to a cell. We don't want Rodger cheating!" The Yautja grabbed the 2... 3 and walked them off. [Carlson]"Progress has big sacrifices Rodger. I won't do anything with your Family. As long as you play along nicely."

He walks off leaving me alone. I run out to my Van knowing Dominick wants to talk to me about a plan. I open my car door and get in. I get my seat belt on and start driving when I see Conceal hiding behind a truck. I took a deep breath.... I can't leave without her. I drove up to her and discreetly let her in the back of my van. We drove straight home.... Carla should be off of work by now, I can't wait to tell her.
