Chapter 14: Homeward Bound

Dominick's POV Again.

[Dominick]"It looked at us a little longer then walked off. Larson said that we needed to save Jenny. We all nodded and followed the stalker to the basement where we found Jenny tied up. My attempt to save her was a failure... Me and all my friends also got tied up...... We managed to break out. But me and Jenny got split up from the others and then we got cornered.... And that's how we got here!"

Jenny looked over at me and shook her head. [Jenny]"Sure. You tell me now that Death stares us right in the face!" [Dominick]"Yes? Chapter 12 and 13 was me talking!" [Jenny]"Breaking the forth wall doesn't do anything."

After putting aside the jokes and putting on my wits, I needed a plan... Waiting for my friends to grab a teacher will take too long..... I looked at the Predator, laser guns and a computer arm thingy. High tech nonsense that only Larson would appreciate! I than saw Jenny's phone on the predator's belt. My phone was in my pocket! A plan! [Dominick]"Hey um... Big guy, um shouldn't you check on the others? Between you and me I'm kinda stuck here regardless." Didn't take the bait..... Aw screw it! I grabbed my phone and called Jenny's Phone.... Which is always on vibrate! Jenny smiled at my genius plan (not really that genius though). The predator looked down and tried to turn off the phone. This was our chance.

I quickly rolled underneath The Predator and started running. (Don't worry Jenny is right behind me) It turned and followed, and fast. But I took my surroundings to good use. I found a crowbar and whacked an old pipe causing steam to flood the room. Now unlike the Predator, me and Jenny knew the layout of the basement so getting out was easy.

We bolted up the stairs and locked the door. Even pushed a few nearby filing cabinets in front of the door. We ran back up to our dorm room and started packing.... If the Predator wasn't leaving. Then WE were leaving! And I could use its space ship too, it has to have one.... It's not like the Predator is the detention teacher.

We finally met back up with Larson and the others. [Dominick]"So...did Mr. Kelvin believe you?" [Larson]"No he didn't. Any plans? Everyone escaping its custody might have made it really mad!" [Jenny]"Space ship! Dominick, Your Dad works a big top job, maybe he could help?" I picked up my phone and looked at my Dad's Number. [Jerry]"We need his help! He will know how to stop the Predator!"

I put in my Dad's Number and waited for him to pick up . . . it picked up.

[Rodger]"This is Rodger speaking." I took a huge sigh, my dad is one of those guys who picks up the phone every time it rings regardless of who it was..... He doesn't know I'm calling. Here goes nothing. [Dominick]"Hey Dad." I heard a gasp on the other end. [Rodger]"Dominick!? What are you doing, why are you calling me?" [Dominick]"Something bad has happened. We need to leave the school or we will get killed!" [Rodger]"I like your attempts at skipping school but it's not gonna work!" [Dominick]"No! Jerry my friend mentioned his Uncle knowing what a Xenomorph was. He also mentioned something called a Predator? One is trying to kill us for no reason!" [Rodger]"Oh you must be serious. Nobody can just pull that story out of their ass!" [Dominick]"Um..... Profanity warning? This is your son speaking!" [Rodger]"Sorry, your voice is slightly deeper now... I'll send for your extraction immediately." My dad hung up.

[Mary]"How long will it take?" [Dominick]"My Dad owns a hyper speed cruiser! He can get here in a matter of a day compared to the normal multi week long journey." [Larson]"Heck yeah! *Nerdy laughs*!"

[Jerry]"well.... Our escape plan was useless, just call about our stalker Alien!" We started laughing. [Dominick]"Amen to that!" Waiting time now! [Jenny]"Well we better pack up our stuff!" I nodded and went off to the bedroom to retrieve my personal belongings.

13 Hours later

We sat around in the Dorm with all our stuff packed, then came a knock at door. Larson checked the peep hole. [Larson]"It's Mr. Kelvin?" Larson opened the door. [Kelvin]"I see you guys really are leaving," He sighed then shrugged. "I know I shouldn't be doing this but sense you guys are my favorite students. I proclaim by something random, Yadda yadda yadda, school stuff and your smarts..... And test cheating! Yes I know what you did! But whatever it gives you, these. Diplomas!" We all smiled.

[Dominick]"I'm surprised you're even giving this to us sense you know we cheated!" [Kelvin]"You need to leave because of your 'Predator problem'. Your cheating got you enough credits. Although not worthy, I'll give them to you, but. I'll send you homework when you turn 18!" I smiled and winked at him. [Kelvin]"Anything for a good friend!"

[Jerry]"Not to ruin the party but when will your Dad get here!" [Kelvin]"I take it that "Predator" is real? Figures, not even 1 year after I quit being a scientist, I see something that breaks science!" [Mary]"You have no proof really, don't let it beat you down." He smiled. [Kelvin]"I guess I'll get going. Bye kids! Also I think your Dad is here Dominick." He got up and left the dorm and I smiled with my Diploma in my hand. I'm an Adult kinda! [Jenny]"Let's go."

We all hurried to the first floor and outside. And there my Dad was waiting for us. [Dominick]"Dad! I mean... Dad? Your hair is gray!" [Rodger]"Hey! I get older too you know! And we have 4 friends. That's nice.... Let's go before Mr. Yautja gets here." [Dominick]"Who?" [Rodger]"Scientific name for the Predator is Yautja, just as we are Human. Simple?" [Dominick]"Sure." We rush to my Dad's hyper speed cruiser and made haste. We set a course for My Home colony..... And Xylia... I feel something awkward is gonna happen!

Xylia's POV

I decided I was gonna take I small breather outside the hive, Conceal and Demeanor were out practice hunting, Ivan was not the company I had in mind so I thought a walk would be nice.

Nice fresh air..... Too bad Humans don't find the smell of our Hive very good, I'd say the fresh air would be more refreshing to them. I started to wander off towards Dominick's house, I peaked into his bedroom window and let myself in. all was quiet, Dominick's Mother was out working, and his father was gone....

I looked around Dominick's room, the Calendar was still set at the day he left almost 5 years ago, I then looked at a Picture of him and his Family, I picked it up and studied the photo, Him and Edith where standing next to each other with Rodger and Carla in the back holding hands. A happy family. I put the photo down and walked over to Dominick's bed.

The bed smelled very nice..... A little creepy when you consider that was Dominick's sent I found pleasant. I sat down and grabbed a pillow, it was resting on my thigh. I rested my head down on my hands and started to ponder. I wonder if Dominick got my letter. Hope he found it cute! I looked over at his desk, there was a picture of me and Dominick.... What he called a "Selfie" I smiled. I don't remember that being there when I said good bye to him.

Who cares? It's a happy reminder of the past, with my best friend. I longed his return. Maybe sleeping would make him come faster? I laid down on the bed, with a soft pillow supporting my head. I quickly fell asleep.
