Chapter 29: How is Owen Doing?

Owen's POV

[Doctor]"Well. This is some odd parasite Mr. Owen." I rolled my eyes. [Owen]"Tell me about it!" [Plymouth]"Does this doctor really not know what a Xenomorph is?" [Owen]"Bingo."

[Doctor]"Well, we can do a surgery to help remove it if you want?" [Owen]"Nah, I just need you to stop it from reproducing because I have surgery to remove one of its babies every few weeks!" [Plymouth]"Your acting insensitive Owen. This better be an act or I'll snap your back. I can do that by the way." [Owen]"Don't worry, I've got this."

[Doctor]"Ok, so info back. This parasite isn't a parasite? I mean, you seem fine with a parasite half the size of you inside you. Shed some light on why?" I shrugged. [Owen]"Because. I've had it for over two decades. I don't think it's gonna kill me. Besides, I already learned that I'll die if she was removed. It's hooked up to a major artery, and also the cause of me only having a lung, heart and bladder." The doctor sighed. [Doctor]"So. We're stopping this insect parasite from having babies then?"

[Owen]"Yes. I asked a guy named Dominick to give me an alternate way of doing this without going to a doctor since he is now one. No response!" [Doctor]"You know a Parasite named Dominick?" [Owen]"He was a human. This parasite is the center of studies and stuff. Carlson somehow found a way to make Humans them and them into Humans. All because my DNA is bonded with this one's DNA and junk." [Doctor]"So let me get this straight. Carlson has been studying a parasite and found a way to make them human and make human parasites?" I though a moment. [Owen]"Yes."

The Doctor shrugged. [Doctor]"So we're just removing the ovipositor or something." [Owen]"Only temporary. Even you should know they grow back!" [Doctor]"Oh, I see. Try blocking the grow area so it can't grow." [Owen]"There we go!"

[Doctor]"Go get a gown on while I get ready to do my thing." I nodded. [Plymouth]"Well, at least we can remove the thing that will stop me from laying eggs." I rolled my eyes and went to put on a gown.

That's when my phone rang. I picked it up and saw it was Jenny calling. I answered. [Owen]"Hello, Owen speaking."

[Jenny]"I'm so glad I got a hold of you. How is the Plymouth thing going?"

[Owen]"Getting the ovipositor removed. And also a way to stop it from growing back."

[Jenny]"Lovely. Guess who me and Larson talked to?"

[Owen]"Preparing your wedding or something?"

[Jenny]"What! I'm not marrying Larson! Why would you think that."

[Owen]"I had a girlfriend. I know how love works. You and Larson like each other."

[Jenny]"Ok MAYBE I like him. But no I'm here to talk about Dominick!"

[Owen]"What about him?"

[Jenny]"Seriously! What's this all about?"

[Owen]"Dominick isn't helping me in this dilemma! With the Plymouth thing."

[Jenny]"I just spoke to him, he has no way to actually reply. But he is concerned about you."

[Owen]"No, I know. It's just, sometimes I wish things would go my way with my situation. What happened anyway?"

[Jenny]"He got the letters, and also a new charger for his phone, he just spoke to Larson. And he has killed over 100 people in that colony."

[Owen]"So what... Has he gone feral or something?"

[Jenny]"No, well kinda I guess. He says he likes the feeling he gets when he kills someone. Xylia says he thinks more like a Xenomorph then even herself. Which is kinda bad considering that Xylia is more humane then Dominick."

[Owen]"Jesus. Did he hurt you?"

[Jenny]"No. He kinda took everyone back to the hive other than me and my assistant. But helped clean up the bloodshed. Dominick is fine otherwise. He can call you back or something."

[Owen]"Alright, I better get going then. Bye Jen."

[Jenny]"yeah, bye."

I got off the phone with Jenny and look at the wall. The doctor came in with a cart with medical supplies on it. [Doctor]"Here we go. Let's take a small breather and get this procedure over with." I smiled and laid down. [Plymouth]"I better not get hurt by this Owen!" [Owen]"You won't?" [Plymouth]"Reassuring."

Kevin's POV

Me and Hannah were sitting in the waiting room. I noticed that the statues board said that Owen was getting into surgery now. [Hannah]"Well. What do you wanna do now?" I looked over at Hannah. [Kevin]"Who knows. What I do known is that I had another nightmare about the Xenomorph!" Hannah frowned and put her hand on my lap. [Hannah]"Look, I also have nightmares about those things! I hate to think of every other person trapped on that colony."

I thought about her response. [Kevin]"Yeah, they are having Xenomorph burst out of their chests. And it's all Dominick's fault. Even worst since he joined them he helps them even more with it. Why didn't we just nuke the planet anyway? I mean Carlson won't allow anything there. You think they will try to get the Xenos back?" [Hannah]"Not sure, maybe. Thought I'd assume Owen knows more. Or Jenny since she was headed that way to check on Dominick. We can wait for her assessment on the situation."

[Kevin]"Yeah."

A few minutes later the doctor came out. [Doctor]"Well my friends. The surgery is done, Owen requested you guys." Me and Hannah nodded. [Hannah]"Let's go Kevin." I smiled.

We walked in to see Owen on the bed resting. He was texting on his phone though. [Hannah]"Who are you texting?" Owen looked up and smiled. [Owen]"Just got a hold of Dominick. Since I learned his phone has been off this entire time. Anyway, Jenny gave him a new battery and I just got in touch with him. I figured you might wanna say hi." He held his phone out for me. [Kevin]"Ok, I guess I'm texting Dominick. I barely know him anyway." [Owen]"He helped save our lives! You better thank him."

I sighed and took the phone.

"Kevin: Hello, this is Kevin."

"Dominick: Nice to read your well. Has there been any complications since you and Hannah recovered?"

I looked at Hannah since I had no side effects. [Hannah]"Nothing."

"Kevin: no."

"Dominick: That's good. I'll talk to you some other time, bye."

"Kevin: Sure." [Kevin]"Alright, the chat turned off. Or he hung up or something. Here's your phone back Owen." [Owen]"Thanks man, can you get me a glass of water. I'm really thirsty."

I looked at Hannah, she shrugged. [Kevin]"Can you even do that?" [Owen]"I still have kidneys and a bladder. And some artificial stomach to act as a nutrition intake, only liquids of course. Feeling blended Taco Bell?" I start to get sick to my stomach. [Kevin]"I'm gonna puke." Hannah pointed towards the bathroom and I ran in there.

When I was done I exited feeling light headed. [Owen]"Did I tell you the one time when I blended Macaroni and cheese with ketchup?" I immediately started gagging and hurled on the floor. Nothing came out since I already puked. [Kevin]"You Little!" I lunge at Owen and start hitting him. The doctors and Hannah had to drag me off of him.

[Owen]"When spaceships blow up?" I heard that last thing and I passed out. All I heard before I completely passed out was "Dangit Owen" from Hannah.
