Chapter 16: Concealed Trade

Rodger's POV

[Rodger]"Look um, Dominick's friends? Um get setup in the guest room, I have things to do." [Jenny]"Yeah, I'll go do that." [Larson]"Mr. Whitman. What is Jenny's problem? She seems in a bad mood ever since we got here." [Rodger]"Oh, what do you expect from Women? They are prickly when they don't get things there way, especially with someone they're dating. Check out Dominick. Isn't that who Jenny's dating? But take my advice, don't get caught up in a dating triangle, it will ruin you! Look what happened to my wife's ex-husband." [Larson]"Dominick's Biological father, yes I know. I'll keep this talk in mind." Larson then walks off to the guest room.

I walked into the kitchen and got out my phone to call Carlson immediately! The phone picked up {Operator}"Hello Rodger, what may I do for you?" [Rodger]"I need to get ahold of Mr. Carlson? Now!" {Operator}"Of course Mr. Whitman, please wait for a few minutes while I get him." The phone started playing music..... Dang Phone Operators!

6 minutes later... [Carlson]"Hello, What can I do for you Whitman?" [Rodger]"A Predator is hunting my Son and his friends. They are safe at my house but I still need you to deal with the Yautja." [Carlson]"Oh sure. I'll deal with it alright. Payment options? Your son is home you said. I happen to be short a Xenomorph, have at least one Xenomorph for me, then I'll consider helping you." [Rodger]"Right..... Will do sir, I'll get back to you." He hung up. I walked down the hall to Dominick's bedroom door. He would never betray that Hive to the north.... But the one to the south? Maybe he could get one from there..... I sighed and knocked on the door. Nothing

[Rodger]"Dominick! Can I come in!?" I heard some moving around. The door opened, the first thing that caught my eyes was Xylia sitting on the bed. [Rodger]"How the?" [Dominick]"I kept my window unlocked this whole time so she could get in. What up?"

[Rodger]"Well... In order to convince Carlson to help I need." He cut me off [Dominick]"A Xenomorph? Not happening." [Rodger]"I figured. What about the other hive? Maybe have Xylia there talk to them? Or trick one into a trap so I have something to give Carlson?" [Dominick]"Um..... Maybe? I heard Sapling is there right now, in the other hive. Or at least Xylia thinks so, I'll see about it." [Rodger]"Thank you! But if you want that Predator gone we need it done now!" Dominick nodded. [Dominick]"I'm gonna discuss a plan with Xylia and the others, is it fine if I go off to the hive? Xylia's Hive?" I sighed and crossed my hands [Rodger]"Not sure I 100% agree but fine. If it's safe."

Dominick Smiled then went to get a flashlight as well as Xylia. The two walked out really close to each other. They were also holding hands. I didn't want to comment on what was going on, I just sat down and ignored it.

[Jerry]"Bye Dominick..... And Xylia." [Dominick]"Later guys." Dominick shut the door. Waiting time.

Dominick's POV

Me and Xylia walked outside. [Xylia]"I bet Demeanor and the others will be happy that we're officially Mates!" [Dominick]"What? Oh um.... I need to break up officially with Jenny first." I said. She nuzzled my cheek and hugged me.... And slobbered on my cheek too.... Her equivalent of a Kiss maybe? I leaned against her, we were definitely walking like two love birds. [Dominick]"Might be a good idea if I ride your back? We'd get there faster." [Xylia]"Hop on and Sit in the middle of my dorsal sensors, hold onto my neck so you don't fall off." I did so and we were off.

We reached the Hive in about 7 Minutes. She let me off and we went inside the cave. I took in the smell of the hive, Smelly but calming. It had an odd homey feeling to it. [Dominick]"I'M BACK GUYS!"

Demeanor came out instantly. With Conceal following. [Demeanor]"Hey kiddo, cannot believe I am saying this, but I missed you. Even though I saw you earlier!" We took a greeting hug and high five.... Or six? [Conceal]"I thought you'd be gone for 9 years. Not 5. I SUPPOSE I missed you..... Yeah." [Ivan]"Friendly Host guy.... How has it been? You reek of Xylia's sent.... And Xylia reeks of your sent.... What gives?"

I move closer to Xylia and start holding her hand, we both lean towards each other. [Ivan]"Oh My..... You two are Mates!? I'm done. Call me when I'm done dreaming!" [Demeanor]"I guess he really does like you... You sure showed me Xylia." Demeanor and Xylia start giggling. [Dominick]"What's so funny?"

[Demeanor]"We had a conversation about how she wanted to become mates with you just Minutes before Conceal came back... She got your letter. But hides it and refuses to show anyone it." [Dominick]"Xylia? Seriously! Anyway I need a hand from you guys." [Conceal]"what's the scoop?"

[Dominick]"Have you heard of a Predator or Yautja?" Demeanor's mind went numb.... And really scrambled. [Demeanor]"Yes...... They have been known to mess around with our kind for generations! One in particular happened to help Your Dad wipe out our Hive. Although considering, Carlson himself was the one who put that Predator up to the task."

[Dominick]"Well. What is your relationship with the hive to the south?" Everyone looked at each other. [Xylia]"Oh no, Mate.... You don't want to know. It's tragic really.... Don't ask please." [Dominick]"Xylia? Do Couples lie to each other?" [Xylia]"Sometimes?" [Dominick]"Wrong answer! You're supposed to say No!" [Demeanor]"Remember when Sapling left? She actually made contact with that hive, turns out another one of our siblings survived and started a new hive.... The apparent reason Sapling or Xylia couldn't molt! But the new Queen is really tough, will not let Sapling leave, she is trying to get us to move there. But Xylia insisted we wait for you, Then move." [Xylia]"Yeah....." [Dominick]"If that hive is family! I can't just give one up so Carlson can help us! Can someone here volunteer?"

[Conceal]"I will! Hand me in! Anything to protect you. I never properly thanked you for helping me get back here to the hive. I only think it's fair I return the favor!" [Dominick]"You don't need to do to this." [Conceal]"if I can last a week in a small specimen jar, I think I can survive Carlson. I'm a natural escape artist anyway!" [Dominick]"Ok then, let's trade you for help then..... I'm sorry I have to do this." [Conceal]"It's fine!" [Demeanor]"Bravest Sibling ever!" [Xylia]"Good luck Conceal. Hope you stay safe." [Conceal]"Right!"

I began the trip back to my house to turn in Conceal, Heroes definitely come from the oddest of places!

I opened the door to my house, only Jerry and Mary where in the living room watching TV, but sense the guestroom light was on I figured Jenny and Larson where in there. [Dominick]"Dad? I have a Xenomorph!" My Dad came out and looked at me. [Rodger]"That was rather fast." [Dominick]"Conceal volunteered." My Dad looked at Conceal and frowned. [Rodger]"Well, an unexpected sacrifice... For a Human's safety? You really are something special to the Xenomorph. I will.... Trade her for help... Carlson will want things quiet, so don't talk about it to your friends." [Dominick]"Understood Dad, Hey I'll watch TV!"

My Dad smiled, then took Conceal and put her in the back of his car and drove off. I closed the door and went to sit down to watch TV. [Mary]"Glad you joined! This movie is great!" I smiled and began to enjoy the movie. However I didn't enjoy it for long..... It was Whalenado 7!
