Loud Lights And Frightful Struggles

New years Eve, Gold hasn't been as scared as she is now. It's 11:45 and the fireworks near her neighborhood are loud and starting up  slowly. Currently she was hiding in a corner of her room curled up tightly hugging her new bear she called Goldie Bear. Loud noises scared her, especially when she gets a feeling of the around era it will happen. The loudness and closeness feeling the fireworks cause never helped. Gold was softly crying, no one bothering to help, as her family was outside looking at the fireworks and it seemed everyone was asleep or gone offline in the internet realm.

She didn't move in attempt to distract herself, as her headphones wont work and she feared that if she moved an inch a firework will go off and she will be unprepared. She left herself in a crying ball, her heart racing and her whole body shaking more than usual, the top fur of her bear soaked in tears.

She wanted it to stop. She dreaded midnight to strike. She can't sleep through, she had insomnia, the loud noises possibly almost paralyzing her, maybe even keeping her on too much edge to have an ability to even feel tired.

She wanted her love. She wanted to hug her and be told everything was ok, that they will be gone any moment. She wanted reassurance. She wanted to dissapear, and be in a world where everything is quiet and calm. where the loud noises would stop. Just for a minute, a second even. She just wants everything to STOP.

   STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP

  PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

GO AWAY GO AWAY GO AWAY

The fireworks never stopped. The noise never took a break. The loudest words over the fireworks was it.

Weak

Pathetic

Numb

Dependent

Thoughts never left. The numb raven just wanted everything to stop. Wanting to escape everything.

Midnight strikes. The fireworks getting louder.

NO NO NO NO NO

More fireworks at once. The sound getting a feeling of less distance between. The tears kept threatening to spill a river. Her skull pounding with fear and anxiety.

DON'T HURT ME DON'T HURT ME DON'T HURT ME DON'T HURT ME DON'T HURT ME

   The girl passed out.

What a great end to a year... right?

When the girl woke up, everything was silent.

She got up, really tired, barely getting actual sleep due to constant alarms.

It seemed everyone was still asleep, she went out to the dining room to find sparkling cider bottles still left out. One half drunken, two others still full and unopened. She grabbed two bottles. One of them full, the other half dranked, both the same flavor. She headed back to her room with a bottle opener and opened up the full one, putting a cap on it to save for later and returned the opener to its rightful place. She sat on her floor/bed and hid the full bottle. Drinking the one half full until there was barely a drop left.

What a great start to a new year... isn't it....
