//TW SUICIDE MENTION AND PANIC ATTACK READ AT YOUR OWN RISK

  Days, weeks, months.

I have no clue how long it as been since that day. Long enough to feel like everything that happened on those few months has disappeared into a mere false memory.

We've been avoiding each other for a while now. Every area we would meet up I avoided. The roof never felt like a safe place anymore. It felt like a place of anxiety and fear. I found a new place to hide. A place they never found or bothered to find.

During passing period and class we would avoid each other, neither of us up for even sparing a glance at each other.

I can only assume Fem has moved on. She truly didn't want to be my friend in the first place.

It's not something unpredictable, but for some reason it was something I wished in to the deepest part of my heart to not be true. The moment it was, and the once I soaked the information in, I felt my heart shatter into pieces. Every piece of my heart that hoped for it not to be true. Gone.

Even though those memories of us being together felt made up, her lack of presence around me made me feel weird. I felt empty. But, the thing was, the emptiness felt more heavy. Like I was missing more than something inside me. I felt like with the realization that she had been lying to me and us parting away she took something from me. Something I never even knew I had in the first place. It causes me to look back at the memories and feel something I never knew I was feeling.

But another discovery I had was during that frame of us being friends, I felt something. As if the emotions I was acting out were actually real.

Then the remembrance that such predicament will likely never happen again made that sharp feeling in my chest burst open, like the twist of a knife in a stab wound.

With those thoughts continueing to drag me down, I continued going to school. People snickering and laughing as I make my way to my locker. I open it up without a glance at the combination lock and flew down a note.

Contents of the note were never something I wished to ever see in the cursive writing of the one who wrote it.

  'Golden,

I'm sorry to have lied to you, or give you any reason to think I

have lie to you. I wish that I could take it all back and do

something different. But such thing is unforgivable, I know, and

I'm sorry. I ask you to forgive me, for I am unable to forgive myself.

I hope you don't mind me taking one of your ideas and swan

diving off the room. But you know me...

  Always the uncreative one... right?

  You were my best friendGolden.

  I'm sorry.

Crescent Star'

I felt everything in my world collapse, as my grip tightens on the note, my feet already racing with each other to see who reaches the roof first. My mind racing with irrational thoughts only focusing on the protection of Fem. Protection of her from death. If I can't protect her from myself, it's the least I can do.

I see the doors at the top of the stairs, bursting through them feeling any inch of air escape as I scream with the last of my breathe.

  "FEM PLEASE DON'T JUMP!"

My footsteps slowdown as I crash into the railing. Any existence of breathe no longer in my lungs. My eyes blurry from tears as I feel blood rush to my head quickly.

"Golden?" I hear softly. I look up frantically at Fem as I try to catch my breathe, quickly getting up despite my bodies disagreement just to hug Fem, just wanting her in my arms.

"I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm so sorry Fem I just have been betrayed so many times I didn't think of any other solutions please I forgive you. I forgive you so much. Please don't leave me I'm so sorry I'm so very very sorry." I wanted to say so much more to her. Tell her all this emotion of emptiness I have been feeling ever since my birthday. Tell her words not in my dictionary. But all that continued to leave my mouth was a string of babbles. I felt my chest tighten more as any air I tried to catch was at a lost, still never recovering from the sprint.

Everything felt dizzy and I couldn't remember what's going on.

All that could go through my head are thoughts and worries. All that I could think about is Fem.

Was Fem okay? Where is she? I can't seem to remember where she is. Did I get to her? Did I pass out in the hall? My locker? Has she jumped? Am I just becoming delusional? I really should apologize to her. But am I too late?

I felt my rib cage become tighter and tighter as air felt harder and harder to breathe in and exit my throat. My face felt hot and my cheeks feel liquidly as if melting. I couldn't see anything. Everything felt confusing but the only thing I focused on was my worry for Fem. I didn't want to listen to my thoughts but they each felt more and more reasonable. Fem could be dead.

  Oh my fuck.

  Fem could be dead.

  And I did nothing.
