I open my eyes, feeling my thoughts and memory flow in like waking up from a dream. Only difference is that I didn't fall asleep on my blankets. I fell asleep on what I believed to have been school grounds.
But as I wake up my surroundings were nothing I recognized. Everything felt too bright. And that beeping is super annoying, what was that?
Oh, a heart monitor. Why is there a heart monitor here, this doesn't seem like any of the labs here at Bo. Seems more like a room for the claustrophobic.
"Golden. Thank God you're awake"
"I don't think you should thank someone who did nothing." I respond before looking at the source. Instantly feeling my snark dampen.
She seemed to have noticed as well, her demeanor instantly feeling awkward and guilty.
"May I ask why you're here?" I look at her pointily, not favoring a liars presence one bit.
"I wanted to check on you. You were beaten I wanted to make sure you're o-"
"Make sure I'm okay? Is that all? If so, I'm fine. Leave." I glare slightly at Fems form. Her body shaking slightly as it tenses with her eyes looking at me in disbelief.
"But-"
"What? I'm fine. Leave. You have nothing else to do here. And if you plan on lying to me again you can kiss that plan goodbye because I could care less."
I hear her stutter words trying to escape her mouth, probably another lie she tries to throw at me.
"Have you been lying at me all this time? Did you just want to get close to the freak of the school? Get all his secrets to spill? That's what you wanted huh?! Just do the one thing others couldn't to gloat and ruin my life more than the others?!" I felt my face heat up, my eyebrows scrunching as my chest tightens. An experience I have never felt before.
"Go-"
"No! Stop lying to me! You got close to me! You probably just wanted to test something out! Well congratulations! Whatever you did it's working! It's working and it hurts okay! YOUR DAMN THING WORKS CAN YOU JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!!" I felt tears swell up in my eyes, my lungs feeling empty and my throat dried.
"GOLDEN I NEVER DID ANYTHING TO YOU!"
"DON'T FUCKING LIE TO ME! YOU KNOW YOU HELL AS SURE DID!"
"WHATEVER THE FUCK IS GOING ON I DON'T KNOW! BUT ALL BECAUSE I WAS CLOSE DOESN'T MEAN I'M THE REASON!"
I quickly stood up, my legs asking me not to as I felt my body heat up like flames and quake, ready to explode any second.
"DON'T FUCKING LIE TO ME YOU ASSHOLE!"
"GOLDEN I'M NOT-"
The door opens, interrupting Fems screaming of lies.
"Gold...en. You ready to leave the Hospital?" One of the Superiors enter the room, seeming uneased about my public name but strict about everything else.
I gave a quick "Yes sir." And with that I walk out of the building I assumed is the so called 'Hospital' leaving one last glance at the now glaring Fem.
I knew I should have never let anyone so close. I knew the moment she made me feel something besides nothing I should have pushed her away.
But I ignored it. I ignored the obvious flag and now I'm suffering for it.
Why do you make me feel this way...
