New Year

[AN - Sorry it's late, I've been asleep since last year lol]

Light

You spend New Year's with Light's family, your parents dropped by for a while too and then you video messaged them at midnight.

Sayu fell asleep early and you tried to wake her at midnight but she just grunted at you and Light. She is the sweetest sister in law.

Light gets drunk and keeps talking about the new world instead the new year, until you throw one of his notebooks at him and hit him right in the head.

"Shut the fuck up about your new world!" You shout at him. He glares at you for a second, then picks you up and brings you to his room to celebrate the new year.

L

L's new year resolution is to learn how to make cake and he drags you into helping. Of course you end doing most of the work, and he can't keep his fingers out of the mixture to sample it, so you send him to his room.

"Forget the cake, if I'm going to my room, you're coming too," He says.

You can't complain about that.

Mello

You and Mello get pissed drunk on vodka, and miss midnight.

"Is it New Year's yet?" He eventually asks.

You check the time.

"Yeah, like two hours ago. It's 2am."

"Oh, well happy new years or whatever," He tries to toast you with the bottle instead of a glass and almost drops it.

You grab it from him and scold him.

"Naughty Mello, only rotten people waste drink and that's unforgivable!"

"Yeah whatever, I never got my new year's kiss," He says and pounces on you.

Matt

You spend New Year's with your family, while Matt is home with friends (you think)

At midnight you and your family are all hugging each other when your phone rings. Matt's name comes up and you consider putting him on speaker but don't.

"Happy New Year, Matty."

"You too, come and see me," He says all drunkenly.

"I'm with my family, you know that," You explain.

"But I'm lonely, bored and horny!" He yells.

"Ok, keep your voice down," You laugh. Thank (Jeevas) Christ you didn't put him on speaker.

You agree to go see him and you're glad you do.

Near

Near spends New Year's playing with the new toys he got for Christmas. You get bored and want to spice things up.

"You should have a drink, Near," You say as you pour yourself one.

"Yes please, I will have a water," He replies.

You roll your eyes. "I meant something stronger."

"Oh, no thank you. Water is fine."

You consider trying to slip him some alcohol but you wouldn't do that. You sit close to him as you hand him his water and whisper in his ear.

"Hey Near, you haven't played with those special toys I gave you yet."

He pauses and a tiny smile lights up his face.

"I was saving them for a special occasion. I guess New Year's counts."

Misa

Misa is doing some New Year's TV show and you're in the audience. The audience is only friends and family so there's a free bar. You and Misa get totally sloshed and she proudly shows you off to as many people as she can.

"Dis my girlfriend, I loooove her!" She tells everyone.

You get a taxi back to hers after the show and both fall straight asleep, still dressed. You celebrate in the morning.
