Light

You and Light chatted a bit after your tennis match and swapped numbers. He called you the next day to ask if you wanted to go to a newly opened sports shop with him. You'd been waiting ages to visit the shop so you said yes straight away.

You met him at a bus stop, and he showed you a piece of paper with the bus number and times written down. You tried not to laugh but he noticed.

"What's so funny?" He asked.

"It's just one bus trip, I'm sure we'd have managed without written instructions."

"I just like everything to go exactly as planned." He explained with a frown.

"I wasn't laughing at you, it's cute of you."

The bus journey didn't take long and you both loved the shop, and made several purchases. You sat on a bench in a nearby park and talked for a while. You asked him what else he liked to do, besides tennis.

"I like to write. I have several notebooks full of writing."

"Nice." You approved.

L

L seemed pleased with your help on the case. He kept thanking you.

"Not at all, L. I'm the one who is honoured to work with such a great detective."

"I'm still grateful though. Would you let me bring you out for tea and cake? As a thank you."

You couldn't help but love his awkwardness. 'Would you let him bring you' as if you were someone important or something.

"You're important to me." He said, and you realised you'd said that outloud.

"Same and I'd love to 'let you'."

"You're making fun of me!"

"I'm not, I'm admiring your cuteness."

He blushed so hard as you sat in silence until he stood up and shyly held his hand out to you. You took it and stood up too, then you walked hand in hand to the nearest cafe, where you enjoyed some lovely tea, cake and company.

Mello

You were too shy to call Mello, so you texted him that night to let him know you loved the chocolate. He texted bsck seconds later.

Glad you liked it! I hope to see you in the shop again soon. I'm in work tomorrow and I get a discount if you'd like to join me on my lunch break?

Of course you'd like to join him anywhere and anytime, so you texted back to say you'd see him there.

You spent ages the next day trying to decide what to wear, settling on plain black silk trousers and a black top. As you rummaged in your jewellery box you realised you were running late, as usual, so you just grabbed a chain with a cross and rushed out the door.

He was waiting for you and had a table ready for you both. You had the most splendid hot chocolate and then more chocolate.

"I love your clothes and that cross so much. I wear things like that too. Maybe we could meet after work sometime so you could see my style."

"That sounds good. You look good in your work uniform too. Do you always just have chocolate for lunch though?"

"Yes."

Matt

Matt called you that night to see if you wanted to meet up. You spent a while trying to decide where to meet and what to do. You finally decided to just meet in a local pub for a drink.

He was already there when you arrived, and told you how nice you looked. He went to buy drinks and sat back down beside you. Neither of you seemed sure what to talk about.

"Tell me about that one game you said you play. Magic messages or whatever."

"Mystic Messenger." You corrected him. "It's a dating app messenger game thing, so I get to romance several cute anime guys. It's so much fun."

He didn't look impressed. "Wouldn't it be better to romance a real guy?"

"But they're real to me!" You squealed. "Honestly they're so lovely, I love chatting with them and..."

You trailed off as you noticed his stony expression.

"What's wrong?" You asked.

"You're on a date with me now, not those stupid anime guys."

I smiled and touched his arm.

"Aww don't be jealous, Matt. It's just been a long time I dated. I forget how to do this."

"That's ok, I'll do my best to remind you."

Near

It was Christmas Eve and your last day working in the grotto. You wouldn't miss it too much, it had gotten so hectic the closer it got to Christmas. You couldn't wait to relax on Christmas Day. You'd miss one thing though...

Speaking of the devil, there he was, alone today. He walked up and handed you a gift wrapped box.

"What's this?" You asked, and immediately started singing the song from Nightmare Before Christmas in your head.

"It's just a small thank you. I've loved coming here everyday and you've been so nice to me. I'll miss the toys, but I'll miss you more."

He looked down at his feet, his face bright red. You smiled, so happy to hear his words.

"I'll miss you too, Near." You knew his rather strange name by now.

"Really?"

"Yes. Unless you wanted to still see me, I wouldn't mind."

"But you won't be here."

"No, but I can see you somewhere else." You smiled again, he was too cute. "Actually, we close early today, we could take a walk when I'm finished?"

He nodded eagerly. You asked if you could join him for his last photo with Santa, of course he said yes. He waited for you since you were almost finished.

You hadn't been outside since early that morning, so you were pleasantly surprised to find it was snowing lightly.

"So romantic!" You squealed and took his hand. You walked around town in the snow holding hands for a good while, observing the shops shutting up and the shoppers rushing about to buy last minute presents. It felt so nice to be the one relaxing right now. Near's hand felt even nicer.

"Is this a date?" He asked you.

"I hope so."

Misa

When you got home that night, you found Misa on twitter. You felt slightly stalky, but that's how the world works these days. You followed her, then looked through some of her tweets and pictures. To your surprise, she followed you back after a few minutes. You smiled like an idiot.

A few more minutes later you got a twitter dm from her. She thanked you for today and asked if you'd maybe help her again sometime. You immediately wrote back to say yes and she asked if you were free the next day to help with a photo shoot.

You arrived at the given location the following day and were greeted by a huge hug from Misa. It was a small studio and she introduced you to the photographer, then quickly brought you to a small dressing room area, where you got straight to work on making her look even more gorgeous.

She invited you for a drink after, as a thank you and a 'get to know you' as she put it.

You went to a cocktail bar and were both soon merry after several rounds of Sex on The Beach. You liked her more with each passing minute. She was quite tactile though you assumed that was because of her job. You weren't complaining anyway.
