Chapter 9

I looked up at Shawn "you really like it?" I asked

He simply smiled "who wouldn't!" He says while he ran

I ran with him "dips on the swing!!" I yelled

As you can imagine I took him to my childhood park I felt like this would help us unlock our inner child

I then sat on the swing and Shawn sat beside me I was swinging my legs forward and backward so I could push myself higher and higher

"Soooo what do you think?" I asked

"I think that we should go get ice cream!" He said in a baby voice

He then got up and started pushing me

"Shawwwnnnn I can push myself I'm a big girl" I say while putting my hands on my hips

"Fine meanie" he said pouting he then ran to the slide and stood at the top

"I'm king of the world!!!" He yelled he then slid down the slide

We where getting dirty looks from the parents that where at the park i then got off the swing and met Shawn at the bottom of the slide "Shawn people are staring" I said while laughing

"So let them stare I don't care" he said while sliding his hand around my waist he then also pulled me closer we where just inches apart when I herd voice behind us

"Omg melody! How are you best friend!" Said the voice that I immediately recognized

"Oh gosh no" I thought

I turned around and faced her "hello Megan" I said in a bland voice

"How are you best friend!" She asked while pulling me away from Shawn and making me hug her

"Nope nope nope" I thought

I pulled away "I think you have the wrong person" I said but she ignored me and make her attention towards Shawn

"Hi I'm Megan" she said while biting her lip

Shawn looked so uncomfortable "I know I saw you at auditions" he said looking back at me while putting on a fake smile

Shawn POV (I'm gonna try)

I looked at the girl Megan

"Gotta be nice to the fans
Gotta be nice to the fans
Gotta be nice to the fans"I kept reciting in my head

I looked up at melody she looked so pretty standing there with her brown hair flowing and brown eyes she was obviously trying to hold in a laugh

I looked back down at Megan she was obviously not the conservative type she was wearing a sport bra that was not holding in anything and a pair of like tight tight tights

"How is that not cutting off your circulation" I asked myself

"Like what you see" she whispered in my ear I jerked back

"Well it was nice meeting you but I better go" I said while looking up at melody

I walked towards her and grabbed her hand and tugged her away

"I will get you Mendes!!" She yelled behind me

Melody's POV

I laughed so hard when we where out of Megan's ear shot Shawn just looked so uncomfortable around her

"You should've seen your face!" I said

We where currently walking on the side walk of the park our hands still together

"And your friends with that girl" he asked me

I threw my head back and laughed

"Oh gosh no!" I yelled I placed my arm over my stomach because it was hurting

"Well it seemed like it she did call you best friend" he said while kicking a rock

"Really Shawn she bullies me in school and she calls me melodufous" I say

"Um melody where are we?" Shawn asked

We where in the middle of a forest

I looked around "honestly I have no idea" I said

I saw shawns face grow with concern

I laugh "I'm kidding I know where we are I grew up here" I said while walking forward to I have no idea where

Once we got out of the forest it took about 30 minutes more than It should have we held a cab and went to go pick up a sleeping Tyler from Austins house we here heading towards my house it wasn't really that far from Austins house we stood at the front door I looked up at Shawn

"I a lot of fun today" he said

"I did to" I said

We stood there in silence I put in the key to the door and twisted the nob and open the house I climbed the stairs and put Tyler to bed and walked downstairs I realized that Shawn was waiting for me in the living room

"I-" he cut me off with a kiss it was soft and magical we pulled away from each other

"What was that for?" I asked

He simply smiled "I couldn't resist" he said "and I don't have a ride home so I was hoping you'd let me stay here tonight?" He asked

I smiled "sure" he said

I led him towards the guest room but he stopped in front of my room and he bolted in there I quickly chased after him he then plopped down on my bed

"Shawn I was gonna take you to the guest room, and thats my bed!" I said with a pout

He then looked up at me "no I like this one better" he said

I sighed I mean it not like we haven't slept together before

"Fine but stay on your side" I said while I changed in my closet into my pjs

"Hey what about me?" He asked

I threw him my baggiest sweater and a pair on sweats that where super huge on me by the time I walked out he was changed I then turned off the lights

"Night" I whispered

"Night" he said

In a couple of minutes Shawn wrapped his arm around my waisted and pulled me closer to him

"So much for your side" I thought but honestly I didn't mind and fell asleep
