Chapter 19

Melody's POV
I wasn't expecting to forgive Shawn so quickly but he made it hard to stay away from him

After we returned home Shawn and I Had stayed up later than expected it was 5:10 in the morning and i was getting a little droopy and i wasn't thinking straight

He laughed at me "have you never stayed up this late?" He asked

I shook my head no "nope" I said while popping the 'P' my eyes where getting droopy and heavy

He chuckled "come on sleepy head lets go to bed" he said while getting up and offering a hand to help me get up

I shook my head no "no i got this" i said while trying to get up

He then put his hands up in surrender "ok then" he said

I got up using the table to sustain myself my legs felt like noodles i tried to take a step but i tripped i was expecting to make contact with the floor but someones arms caught me he pulled me up and pulled me close to his chest

"Im here melody Im always here..." he said in a whispered tone that made my heart jump

I pulled in closer to his chest then i pulled away

"and what if your not?.." i asked in a hushed tone

Shawns POV

"And what if your not?.." her question kept echoing in my head

Rage and hurt suddenly came over me but the anger came stronger blinding me from the hurt

"What kind of question is that?" I scoffed

Pain then flickered in her eyes but it was covered up by anger as well

"All I'm saying Shawn is that you let me down once so what makes you think that you wont again?" She said her voice coming on louder

"Can't you see I'm trying I'm already breaking a rule just being here.." i said matching her tone

She then frowned "And can't you see that I'm trying to keep my distance because you still have a girlfriend!" She argued

Then silence "so i think that I'm giving up way more Shawn" she added

"And that is?" I asked afraid to hear what she was gonna say

"My love for you.." was the last thing she said before walking up to her room and closing the door leaving me in the living room all alone with my thoughts and regrets
