Chapter 17

Melody's POV
I felt betrayed more than ever once I found out that Shawn had a 'secret' girlfriend I was devastated after I had stormed out of the inspiration room I went to Austin's house

I knocked on the door twice before he opened the door

"Hey melody!" He said in a very excited tone

"What's up Austin!" I said in a very excited tone as well I had put on a forced fake smile

He immediately frowned once I put on my 'smile' "ok what's wrong?" He asked while me motioned me to come inside

Once I was inside I sat on his couch "I found out that Shawn has a girlfriend" I said trying to hold back my tears Austin closed the door and sat beside me

"what that's crazy" He said while pulling me in for a hug

I then let out a tear "I fell in love with him Austin maybe just a little too soon.." I said into his chest he then put his chin on top on my head

"Hey there are more fish in the sea" he said

I then pulled back

"Whatever" I said while wiping my tear away

He sighed "how about ice cream and a movie" he said

Then my phone rang and I picked it up not bothering to look at the caller ID

"Hello?" I asked into the phone

"Melody before you hang up I need to tell you something" said the voice I recognized

I rolled my eyes "make it quick Shawn.." I said

"Andrew wants us at the studio at 8:30 to record the song tomorrow" he said

"Fine I'll be there" I said before hanging up

"It was Shawn.." I told Austin

Austin then came into the living room with a bucket of chocolate mint ice cream and a stack of movies he then sat beside me

"Hey.." He said with hesitation "did you ever get my text of me asking you out on a date?" He asked

I then gave him a confused look "text what text?" I asked while I pulled out my phone and opened the messages app and there was Austin's message

"I-I um never saw this message when I woke up at Shawn's place the other day..." I said

"Well do you wanna go on one?" He asked

I smiled "maybe we can make this one?" I asked

He smiled as well "ya I would like that" he said while pulling me closer

While we where watching the movie Austin then pulled me closer to where our faces where barely touching he then leaned in and kissed me it was a short kiss it wasn't long before I pulled away then awkward silence

"Did you..?" He asked

I then nodded my head no "I felt no spark.." I said

He then nodded " yeah... Me neither" he replied "friends?" He asked while pulling out his hand

I took his hand and shook it "yeah friends" I said I then got up off the couch "well I got to go it's getting late.." I said

He nodded and he then went up stairs and grabbed Tyler and gave him to me while he opened the door "bye" I said

He waved good bye to me as I walked towards my house

While I was walking I noticed a car following me so I stopped just to see who it was

"Shawn?" I asked

He then rolled down the window "melody get in its freezing out here" he said

"Shawn I'm almost to my house I think I can manage" I said

He shook his head "please melody I need to talk to you" he said I looked into his eyes they where filled with worry

I rolled my eyes and opened the back door and put Tyler in making sure that he was still asleep I closed the door and opened the passenger seat door and got in and closed the door behind me

"Ok you have my attention" I said

He then drove forward keeping his eyes on the road "melody I was gonna tell you eventually about tori.." He said

"Anything else.." I said looking out the window

"After we release the song you can come with me on world tour to sing with me on stage" he said while turning into my drive way

I smiled "that is amazing I accept!" I said while looking at Shawn

I then cleared my throat "I mean yes I accept" I said while looking away

I then pulled open the door and I then grabbed Tyler Shawn then steps out with me as I pulled open the house door and climb up stairs and tuck Tyler in I then close the door behind me and go down stairs and I see Shawn waiting for me

"Shawn we keep things professional remember" I said

"Melody.." He says while he pulls me in for a hug "no matter what I'll still love you" he says

"I will too.." I said
