Harmony

Chapter 3

I woke up with a dog licking my face I open my eyes and I saw moody there waging his tail

"Get off me dog" I said as I pushed him off

I pulled my legs off the bed and I got up and went to the bathroom as I was washing my face I felt moody smelling my legs

"Tyler come get this dog!!" I yelled

I herd Tyler running up the steps until he reached the bathroom

"Hey moody good morning" he said while grabbing him and tucking him under his arm

"Why is he still here?" I asked while I was walking out the bathroom

"Moms letting me keep him" he said

I rolled my eyes "she's just asking for disaster" I thought

I finally reached the kitchen

"Your really gonna let him keep the dog?" I asked my mom

"Yes is it such a bad thing?" My mom said while making coffee

"Well I'm not gonna be responsible if he goes number 1 or 2 in this house" I said

She sighed "fine but me and your dad are leaving today for out trip and I expect for you to help him a little" she says

"What time are you leaving?" I ask

"When your fathers done taking a shower" she says

Then right when my mother says that my father walks threw the door my father is the serious type Tyler got my father dirty blond hair and hazel eyes I on the other hand got my mothers long wavy brown hair and brown eyes

"Well let's get going shall we" he said looking at my mother

"We shall" she says

They both walk threw the door my mother calls Tyler to come down and he stands beside me we hug my parents good bye and my mother heads out and my brother follows but my father stays behind

"I herd about your auditions tomorrow" he says

I look at him "mom won't let me go" I said

He hands me a credit card with my name on it "you can spend it on anything you like" he says

He grabs me by the shoulders "go to it and sing your heart out" he says

I smile at him and give him a big hug "thanks dad" I whisper

He then heads out the door and I follow I grab Tyler and wave goodbye to them both and they disappear into the road

"Well twerp I'm in charge now" I say while heading back to the house

"Over my dead body" he says

"I can arrange that" I say while chasing him into the house

He then runs to his room and I hear the click sound he locked it

I grab my phone and start scrolling threw the fee until I stumble on to a new video that Shawn had posted I pressed the play button

"Hey guys it's me Shawn Mendes I can't wait till tomorrow for auditions it's gonna be at 4:00 in the afternoon at rock empire studio in New York can't wait to see y'all there"  the video ends there with Shawn waving goodbye and his smile again

I run to my room only to see that it's still in shambles I grab a trash bag and a broom and start cleaning

After 3 hours of cleaning my room was back to its original form I could only save 75% of my closet because the other 25% of it was ripped or slobbered on by the darn dog

I laid on my bed wondering what song I was gonna sing at the auditions tomorrow

I was scrolling threw the songs on my playlist when I herd this one song that stood out ""city of stars"" I was form the movie LaLa land and I loved it so I was mumbling the melody until I finally memorized it.

The piano parts where easy to play and memorize because I had 5 years of piano in my sleeve

"Here goes nothing" I said to myself

I then started playing the beginning when I simply let go and started singing

"City of stars
are you shining just for me?

City of stars
There so much that I can't see-

I was then interrupted by my little brother clapping

"Great job Mel your gonna nail it tomorrow" he said

That made me smile my brother was never the one to support me and I was glad theta he was gonna tomorrow even if he like it or not

"Oh Shawn have mercy on me" I thought as I played the rest of the song
