Chapter 23

Melodys POV
After the funeral ended Tyler went to his room to morn and me and shawn stayed in the living room I welcomed him to sit down with me on the couch

"Poor Tyler" was all I manage to say

"Yeah I can't imagine for what he's going threw.." says shawn

We both let out a long and heavy sigh

"What would you do if your best friend is mad at you.." i say breaking the silence

Shawn looks at me "apologize" he says

"Yeah but he's..dating my bully" i say

"He always stood up for me when she said something mean to me but now he's dating her.." i add i shake my head and sink into the couch

"Well maybe he saw something in her something that wasn't there before.." he trails off lost in his thoughts

"Even if we do become friends its not gonna be the same anymore is it?" I add

He shakes his head "somethings are worth fighting for..." he says

I nod "ugh your so inspirational.." i say

He chuckles "I guess it comes naturally" he remarks

"And even if he doesn't wanna be your friend again" he adds "I'm here for you"

I smile and i snuggle closer to him "thanks shawn for everything" i say

He nods "ready for Paris?" He asks

I smile "well duh lets go eat some snails or whatever" i say

Shawn laughs "snails seriously" he says

I nod my head "well yeah there are snails in Paris that you can eat" i say

"I think that you mean macaroons?" He says while pulling me into his side

"If anything ill feed you a snail secretly" i thought

"Sure you can try" he remarks

Oh i said that out loud

We where then interrupted by Tylers footsteps coming down the stairs

"Melody can you sing me to sleep" he says while rubbing the sleep off his eyes

I smile "sure" i say

I then follow him up the stairs tucking him in his Mario Cart sheets and giving him his boo bear i then pull up a chair and sit next to his bed

"Any suggestions?"i ask

He shakes his head "i want a happy song" he says

"Ok let me think.." i say

I think searching for a song in my brain i then smile knowing what song to sing

"Ready Tyler?" I ask

He nods

"She would not show that she afraid
but being and feeling alone was to much to take

And everyone said that she was so strong
But what they didn't know is that she could barely carry on

And she knew that she would be ok
So she didn't let it get in her way

Sometimes it all gets a little to much
But you gotta realize that soon the fog will clear up

And you have to be afraid because we're all the same
And you that sometimes it all gets a little too much yeah"

I then stop realizing that Tyler fell asleep but with a smile on his face

"Sweet dreams Ty" i say while bending down to kiss his forehead

I then step out of his room making sure that he's still asleep i then make my way down stairs only to be greeted by shawn and some girl?
